United StatesEverything that you care about in a hotel room was nice — we had enough blankets, the heat was great, ample towels, a shower that genuinely got hot. It’s not matchy-matchy like a chain hotel, but who cares? The manager was incredibly thoughtful and kind.
Admittedly, the bed was a bit uncomfy, but you can’t really complain at that price.
The room had a full sized fridge and kitchen, which came in handy because we were returning from an out of state trip where we stayed at an Airbnb, and so had a lot of leftover stuff to refrigerate.
And the shower, oh man, the shower was phenomenal.

The motel owners are there to make your stay excellent and are most friendly and accommodating. The room is quiet and spotlessly clean, with an updated bathroom. Our double queen room had places for suitcases and a table large enough to eat from or work from. The mini-fridge, microwave and coffee machine are really nice to have. The super cleanliness of the room makes the room really inviting and the beds are very comfortable.

The owner was very friendly and helped us know where to eat and how to find downtown. The motel is off the busy road with a large green space. The room was spotless. Price was economical.

This is such a great place! The lady that manages the motel was so friendly and welcoming. The room was immaculate! Seriously... The cleanest motel/hotel we've ever stayed at (and we've stayed at many). There was a lot of attention to little details that made for a charming and very enjoyable stay. We highly recommend the Golden West Motel! You won't be disappointed!

Perhaps the best motel we have ever stayed in. Everything is immaculate and perfectly put together. The owner is also very sweet and kind. Great bed, bath, amenities. Spotless carpet and bathroom. Great shower.

We used A1 Budget Motel as a base for travel to Crater Lake. The motel exceeded at expectations on every front : the rooms were super clean, the beds comfortable and good selection of TV channels. The location felt safe.
I wasn't keeping well and the office manager was especially nice in supporting my special needs. She even recommend good places to eat.

Luisa, one of the owners greeted me by name when I arrived. She was so accommodating and friendly. I love that they had real ceramic mugs and flatware in the motel to reduce waste. She also offered me to let my dog run around off leash in her backyard. Highly recommend this place for a quick stop on the road!
