WOW! The Finca La Jorara eco-resort is absolutely beautiful in every way. The grounds are gorgeous with special artistic touches everywhere you look. We were greeted enthusiastically and warmly (with delicious mora juice) and were told all about the resort. The service and friendliness of the staff was top notch. The house was as pictured, absolutely dreamy. We were lulled to sleep each night by the crashing of waves. The beach felt like a private slice of paradise. The staff brought down chairs and hammocks each morning to enjoy. You could even order drinks that they would bring to the beach. Staying here was a gorgeous and unforgettable experience my family will treasure for a long time to come. (And our boys REALLY loved the four dogs that kept the property guarded.) We highly recommend a stay here!

This hotel is beautiful. Set on a farm in the lush greenery, close to the river. I enjoyed walking to the river to kayak and swim. You can easily get to the beach too. We saw toucans and so many beautiful birds just sitting by the pool. It is relaxing and feels like a luxury home. Loved it!

The property was beautiful and management clearly put a lot of thought into the decorations and space. The private beach was very peaceful and cabanas felt private and luxurious. I felt like I had the entire place to myself, unless I needed anything, and then all the staff were eager to help and very accommodating. They went above and beyond, from scheduling taxis and excursions, to an incredible massage, and being communicative and flexible with check in/out times. This is the perfect place to unwind and soak in the nature around you. I will definitely be back!

Loved the location in the middle of the jungle and the view! You get to sleep pretty much inside the jungle but with the safety and protection of a stunbing natural place. Also, the attention is top! Thank you so much, we will be back! P.S: the walk (no car, if anything moto) to la Selvita from the road is 20 - 25min, with a natural pool to freshen up along the way. It totally adds to the experience!

This place is an absolute paradise. I wish I had had more days to enjoy it. The reviews are comprehensive and I agree with a lot of the positive ones. Here are my quick takes: - The grounds are beautiful. It may initially take some getting used to that you’re in a jungle and there are other creatures around you BUT it’s a magical place - you’re right where the ocean and river meet in the midst of the jungle - what?? - the staff are lovely and for the most part attentive. I was in touch with Juan before who was extraordinarily helpful via WhatsApp. Then met Ivan and Olga who were dearly warm and welcomed me like family. Also really enjoyed the care and hospitality of Ingrid and her team. - I paid a tad extra (I think?) and managed to get the top room that looks out on the jungle - the layout, the bathroom, the hammocks outside - exquisite - the watering hole in the river is nice (though a tad rocky to walk to) and the access to the private beach are lovely (though I couldn’t swim given the waves) - the food, from the breakfast to the meals on the menu, are all very good and fresh - even for vegetarians! - the dogs are a bit like therapy dogs - very loving and caring - the mirador is truly amazing - I did my morning yoga and meditation there. Highly recommended

The location is just by the river which make it a really relaxing and beautiful spot, everything is I. Great conditions and the vibes are the best. Also they have a great staff service and service with bakery restaurant and craft bar with pizzas until 1am which is greattt !!!

Nice clean Hotel. The AC was ice cold. TV was good. Bed was comfy. Reception staff is great. Just across the main road in Buritaca where all the buses from Santa Marta stop. Close to the party hostel Rio. Better accommodation than a hostel. About 25 minutes pleasant walk to the Buritaca river/ beach. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
