This was by far the best experience I have ever had in Costa Rica. I traveled to 15 different locations over 6 months and this host family was the most generous and helpful family I have ever known. They brought me food all the time (fruit, meat, vegetables and snacks) and even gas at one point for my car. They even took me in their Jeep to see a sunset. The facility itself is clean and impeccably maintained. The house has everything you need to cook with. You hear howler monkeys in the trees across the street and chickens next door. The outdoor living area is perfect for larger groups or families. There is a convenience store a short walk away where you can find some basic staples including some meat and vegetables but it is really small (one room) so I would suggest if you come for more than a couple days that you bring groceries with you because the bigger grocery stores are about 20 minutes away. The best part is you are in the country surrounded by farmland. The yard is completely fenced in for dogs. I felt safe with a relative living next door. Highly recommend!

This is the perfect cabin right in the middle of nature and tranquility! The cabin had all the amenities one could need and perfect for cooking a great meal and enjoying right on the front deck in nature. Walking distance to some nice off road paths that lead you to beautiful views of Tiliran. The host Jessica only made the stay more amazing and was so helpful and knowledgeable with all things to do around. She even gave us a ride and some bananas for breakfast from the trees right outside the cabin window 😁
