Maria and Angela and Susha were wonderful! They made us feel comfortable and welcome. Even though we arrived very late, Maria was on hand to greet us and made check in easy. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The food made by Angela was all fresh homemade and exceeded our expectations. She took time to tell us about each item and shared how it was made. Both she and Maria spent time talking to us and telling us about themselves and DonnaPaola. Maria is an artist and while you are there, be sure to look for her sculptures. The rooms also have her work as part of the decorations. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The views are stunning. It is peaceful and quiet. We will be sure to come back and stay longer.

We arrived later than we expected to, but we were greeted warmly by the host/owners, including their adult son. The place was a green oasis in the midst of the city. It was surrounded by trees and flowers and beautiful grass lawn. The accommodations were exactly as expected from the description. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. There were extra pillows & they thought of everything for luggage and accommodating our toiletries. The bathroom was spacious and modern and the towels were luxurious. It was a quiet area, but near to everything we wanted to see. Unfortunately, we couldn’t spend more than one night and the next morning, but it is one place that we have decided to come back to visit in the future for a longer period of time. The breakfast in the morning was incredible with a variety of Italian and American foods. The breakfast area was spacious and full of light and just delightful. They served us our choice of type of coffee and we were free to serve ourselves at the buffet. They had pastries and yogurts and bread and toast and rusk and biscuits, cheeses, & meats. Their son, Paolo, offered us hard-boiled eggs and scrambled eggs. They also had fruits and homemade jam. Their agribio business is raising almond trees for harvest. Unfortunately, there was a freeze two years ago, so they did not harvest as many almonds as they wanted to this past year. This is a hard-working family, who is really trying to succeed as an agricultural tourist destination.

The hotel was in a great location for visiting Matera also close to the city of Altamura. The room was comfortable, the bed comfortable and the breakfast very good. The staff were very helpful.

This is the best stay we had in years. A very good welcome, our host Andrea gave us a an excellent overview of the city, places to visit, history behind many of them, other cities to visit as well - all proved very useful and interesting. The apartment itself is very clean, located in an old palazzo, yet has all of the facilities needed. Two bedrooms, comfy beds. Breakfast is served by host's family, very tasty and authentic. Excellent experience to stay overall, would recommend to anyone who wants to experience Italy or appreciates excellent service.
