The staff was very friendly and helpful. The man even drove to the bus station as I couldn't find the bus stop. :) That was very kind of him! :) I also had the dorm just for myself and the bed was very comfortable. The accommodation is very close to a sento, a laundry and a kombini, all within 50 meters from the hostel. Also good location, close to the castle ruins and one of the temples.

Everything was in excellent condition and they provided us with awesome amenities. Pictures matched the place. Convenient stores nearby and laundry mat just a couple of blocks away to dry your clothes if needed

Loved the free access to a nearby onsen. The owners were very friendly and kind. It was a bit cold in Hitoyoshi, but they provided a few amazing warm blankets, heated carpet, and a heater. They also had an air purifier in the room. All the amenities were great! My father lives in Hitoyoshi, so I'll be using them again in the future!

We enjoyed our stay, the rooms was well equipped. The joined facilities where nice, both indoor and outdoor onsen were clean and pleasent! There was a very nice playroom for kids as well. Only downside is the area isn't that vibrant.

Established in 1941 and renovated in 2005, Ryokan Ayu no Sato features multiple indoor/outdoor hot spring baths, both Japanese and Western-style accommodations and free WiFi in public areas.

The interior space is very welcoming. Breakfast and dinner were excellent (good value). The staff was extremely friendly and warm. The location is nearby downtown area and Hitoyoshi station.
