The host was very kind, with very good English. He showed us a recommended place for dinner, (even walked with us to make sure we understood him completely). The place was spot clean, warm and all the facilities were exceptional. We had a great time, and highly recommend the place. On the first floor there is a very cool place that serves handmade bagles and coffee, absolutely delicious!

For backcountry skiers who are aware of Kamikawa, the the Ainu Lodge is a great fit: simple, quiet, close to the mountains.

It was very conveniently located near the ropeway and tourist center. It was great slipping into the bath after a cold day of snow & rain. Check-in and check-out were very efficient, and the room was comfortable and clean. I even ran into some trouble using the luggage coin lockers, and the facility was able to refund me when I checked in. There were often deer outside for some nice pictures!

This small and cozy place was just a cute gem to stumble upon. Great location, great atmosphere, and Roxy the host really helped us settle in and gave us great tips about the area and how to plan our next few days. There is also a big kitchen with all you can ask for, and so we cooked our own dinner and dined in with the other guests at the common living room. Anyway, this kind of house beats all other hotels in the area, trust me.
