We had an amazing stay here! The house itself is beautiful and incredibly inspiring, with so much attention to detail. The vinyl collection was such a special touch and made the whole experience even more unique. It was such a cosy place, it had all the amenities we needed like the indoor kitchen, outdoor charcoal bbq. The place is like a granny flat separate to the main house which was next door, and allowed good privacy. The host, Junko, was so hospitable and kindly picked us up and took us to the train station, she also made us something small to eat on our trip back to Tokyo. We loved how peaceful the area was, it felt like a nice getaway from the busy cities we had been to. Beautiful scenery of the mountains surrounding the house. We loved our stay here and wish we could have stayed longer. The bus station is a very close walk away and was able to get us to the Nakasendo trail easily, which we started from Asahigaoka Park, Nakatsugawa headed towards Tsumago-Juku. Thank you Junko-san for your kind hospitality!

The owner has obviously tried to make the accommodation comfortable and functional for guests. Lots of extra finishing touches. There are cooking oils, sauces and seasonings to cook with, as well as tea and coffee. The shampoo and conditioner isn’t a super cheap brand which is great. I loved being able to stay near the train station and watching all the people come home at night from the upstairs bedroom window, it gets so busy, it was a comforting feeling.
