Easy check-in after 2 pm, drop box for early checkout. Combination and side door access at night. Large garage for motorcycle parking. Large lobby/common room. Nice Luggage storage room with free bike locks for large suitcases, lockers for backpacks, extra bathrooms and shower. All new construction inside, better beds then my APA room, small personal locker in bed area for wallets, phones. Free earplugs if you need for snoring guests. Discount coupons for local businesses in lobby. Directly across from train and bus station, so easy at The Stay!

Really lovely hotel. We stayed a week. The rooms seaview side are fantastic, views of the sea and breakwater are amazing. Good restaurant, good cafe, with reasonable prices, souvenir shop and one washing machine, bar up on floor 12 very pleasant in the evening. Staff were very nice, especially the cleaning ladies who did a superb clean for us everyday. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were unusually spacious and tastefully decorated. WiFi signal strong and reliable. Nearby is the train station 2 min walk, the Roman breakwater, convenience store, ferry terminal 10 min walk and lots of other shops. We can highly recommend this hotel.

Comfortable to stay and close to many restaurant nearby.

This is a small family hotel, 5 minutes by foot from Wakkanai Ferry Terminal. Half of a house is a restaurant and another one is a hotel. It suggests a room with shared bathrooms and toilet. Everything is new, modern and very well prepared. You have to reserve your bathtime, 30 min per room, but this home bath was very clean and comfy, specially after a day of hikking;) unfortunately I was not able to try dinner and breakfast in the restaurant but smell was very delicious. Strong recommended!

It’s near Wakkanai station and ferry terminal, around 10 minutes walk. The house feels cozy and welcoming. Host speaks good english and very kind, learned a lot of interesting things from him.

Very homely ryokan manned mainly by a friendly and adorable granny! Home-style Japanese breakfast was provided. The room a traditional tatami room which was spacious and clean. Walking distance from the main train station and a bus stop just a few walks away. An onsen was nearby, and wild deer could be spotted around the neighborhood as well. Oh, they're not proficient in English but will try their best to convey their messages to you.

Great hot spring, great breakfast

We loved our stay at Wakkanai Woodhouse! The owner was exceptionally friendly and offered valuable local advice. Our room was cozy, immaculately clean, and featured beautiful sea views. While breakfast wasn't included, the room was generously stocked with a great variety of snacks and amenities. The location near the station and ferry pier was perfect. Highly recommended for a comfortable and welcoming stay in Wakkanai!
