This hidden gem is a haven of tranquility, surrounded by the lush beauty of nature, making it a picturesque escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The resort itself exudes charm and comfort. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the cleanliness and the tasteful decor that blends beautifully with the natural surroundings. The rooms were cozy, well-maintained, and offered all the comforts needed for a restful stay. What truly sets Miridiya Lake Resort apart is its staff. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. Their attention to detail and prompt service greatly enhanced my experience. The food at the resort was nothing short of amazing. Offering a variety of delicious, well-prepared dishes at very affordable prices, each meal was a delightful experience. Honestly the nicest room we have stayed in during our 25 days in Sri Lanka! The breakfast was great! The dinner as well. Great restaurant with even greater staff. Everybody was so attentive, kind and comforting. The service was excellent. The pool was a delight after a day under the scorching sun.

It was the best accommodation we had in Sri Lanka during our two-week trip. Our room met all the standards: it was clean, with no signs of mold, the water was sufficiently warm, and the Wi-Fi worked well. The terrace is also a great bonus. We also appreciated the helpfulness of the host, David. Accomodation is close to main sights.

Stayed here for several nights to explore the ancient architectural sites of the Anuradhapura Kingdom and Wilpattu National Park. Exceptionally confortable, quiet, clean, and relaxing space to recharge after long, adventurous days in the sun. My room was lovely, the breakfasts and coffee were great, and the staff super friendly, relaxed, and accommodating in every way. Looking forward to staying here again.

You know when you say, "It couldn't have been better"? Well, this is a case in point. I booked based on the good reviews on Booking.com, but I wasn't expecting such a special place. The family that runs it is incredibly kind and friendly. The nice thing is that if guests want, they can put tables together and eat breakfast or dinner together. The food they cook, authentic Sri Lankan food, is incredibly good, prepared by them, and the prices are incredibly fair. When I stayed there, almost all of us were solo travelers. We had really fun and enjoyable evenings. The owner helps you with whatever you need and is truly honest. I felt like I was part of the family. The rooms are simple but clean. There is no AC, but the ceiling fan was more than sufficient; none of us felt hot or had trouble sleeping. All in all, the perfect place!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay, largely thanks to the incredible team. The manager, Sanjana, was exceptionally kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating, while Shiran made our stay effortless and relaxing, serving an unbeatable, perfectly balanced cup of tea. To top it all off, Nanda prepared exquisite traditional meals, the local lake fish was a mouthwatering highlight!

Pali was an incredible host. We spent a whole afternoon visiting the sacred places in Anuradhapura and I was so lucky to do it during the full moon fest. Pali share all that energy with me. The place is so comfortable and clean, really good value for the money. I will repeat the next time in Sri Lanka.

Mappa and his wife were definitely a highlight in our Sri Lanka holiday. We ate the BEST local cuisine here, and they treat you so kind, almost like family as soon as you arrive. They can do Sigiriya tours or anything else you want to do around Anuradaphura. All around, really the best people. Would visit again.

The hotel surpassed all my expectations! The staff was welcoming and accommodating right from the moment we checked in. The room was clean, and the view of the greeneries with the water canal was very calm and relax. The breakfast spread was also quite tasty. I will certainly return during my next visit!

The family were absolutely lovely. Breakfast was good and you can order dinner which was wonderful! Huge! They picked us up from bus station when we arrived. They will arrange a tuktuk to explore the area. It is about a 15 min walk from the main town but the centre is nothing special so we liked being in their house. They gave me a bracelet as a present when we left. The dad also does some amazing card tricks!

Exceptional stay - highly recommended! I recently stayed at Malwathuoya Forget Garden and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were incredibly comfortable, spacious and well maintained. Special mention must be made of the cleanliness of the entire place; everything was clean and hygienic, which made the stay very relaxing. The food was delicious and had excellent taste and the service provided by the staff was top notch - they were attentive, friendly and always ready to help. Being in this house was one of the best things of my trip around the country. When we arrived there we experienced a full 2 nights in the Sri Lanka style. The woman was amazing, she take care of everything and treat us like her own family!!!! A part of the great house she has, she prepared us some of the amazing dishes from the country. I really recommend the house and of course stay and meet Sriyani (our mom in Sri Lanka)!!! Thank you so much for everything and see you soon!!!
