I loved the location right at the beautiful clear beach with sharks, stingrays coming sometimes by and lots of fish to snorkel with. Nice people, I slept in the dorm and a fan was good enough. Good breakfast with fruit and baguette with homemade marmalade

A waterfront bungalow with a deck? We absolutely loved it. We wanted a waterfront experience without paying the crazy high prices of an overwater bungalow, and this was an awesome option for a good price! I don't really understand the negative reviews of this place. If you read the description and listen to the check-in instructions upon your arrival, everything is made super clear! Yes, it's by the road, as are most of the houses and hotels on this island since the road follows the coastline. Yes, there are some bugs, but that's what's to be expected when you're staying on a tropical island. No, there's no beach (as you can see in the photos), and there really only are a couple of beaches on the entire island, but there's a dock you can swim off of and amazing snorkeling just outside your bedroom door. What more could you ask for? Our bed had a mosquito net and a fan kept us nice and cool in the evenings. The staff was incredibly kind and informed us of the meal times upon our arrival. Most of the island follows those same meal times too. I highly recommend!

Host is next door and was able to solve a minor problem immediately. While we did not have time to use it, host offered use of a kayak.

Best location in Moorea for a family trip in my opinion. Walking to the lagoon which blows you away. Truly paradise. Green and lush garden. The two kayaks are a huge plus! Walking distance to a small grocery store. Very relaxing.

Getting there initially was a little confusing, but once I figured out how to get there the keys and access to the bungalow was very simple and easy. Love this place.

Beautiful location. Our host was very responsive via WhatsApp. She met us at the house to hand us the keys and explained how everything worked. AC was working well, all the appliances too. Bungalow was very comfortable for 4 people. We bought groceries nearby and had meals at the house. Neighbors were quiet and the beach was just a short walk.

This is the second time I stayed at Chalet Chenal and I would stay there again if I come to Moorea. Excellent hosts and excellent location. Kayaks and bikes are a huge plus as you can kayak from the house straight into the ocean in a few minutes!
