Hotels with Parking in Ban Khrae Yao Doi Bo

It felt like another world up in the hills, and only 30 minutes from Chiang Rai airport (you can request a pickup or drop-off from the owner). This homestay has a great shared dining area by the river, and i really enjoyed sitting by the bonfire at night. You can walk to nearby Huai Mae Sai waterfall or Doi bo mountain viewpoint, spend some time in the village (just down the road from the homestay) and maybe even learn a few things about Lahu and Akha culture if you are curious. I loved being in a real village, not a place designed for tourists. I didn’t expect to discover a completely different side of Thailand here, but i’m so happy i did. The father and son running the homestay are very kind, and their small dogs and cats are adorable.

I was traveling with family, so we rented two villas side by side. The houses are a perfect size for two people, with a bed in the loft and a living room area downstairs. It is all new, the houses, the furniture, and appliances. I sent a message to pick up the key and soon someone came on a motorbike to deliver. The location is quiet, with a beautiful view of the fields nearby. The outside space is great, with areas to sit down and even a fire pit that we did not use it. The ground outside seems to be a work in progress and I am sure it will be landscaped at some point. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay, There is a third house on the property that was empty, but it seems like a perfect getaway for a group of friends that want to travel together.

Clean, very comfortable. Excellent food. Beautiful views. We enjoyed both the isolation and the noise of the village (roosters, dogs, karaoke) but beware if neither appeals to you

This resort is hands-down the best place we’ve stayed in in Thailand since we’ve been traveling throughout the country for nearly 3 weeks. And, we travel a lot- around the world. It may be out of city central but the owners offer so many trips to downtown and back for a very small fee or free, that you will be able to do what you want. If you’re a nature and jungle love, appreciate a completely different experience, and want to be close to Chiang Rai city but not around constant city life, this is the place for you. It is truly incredible, memorable and special . The rooms are amazingly fun, private, spacious and almost like a movie set or fairytale. At night you hear the frogs croaking and during the day you see the butterflies and natural beauty all around. The breakfast is top-notch with fresh fruit, eggs, any style, not to mention local and homemade goodies. Jazz, Noi , Hanna, Krit and daily housekeeping staff, will make your visit memorable and special. OK. We are tough critics and have high standards- you will not be sorry staying here. Oh, and the Wi-Fi works great.
