Bit of confusion on getting into the type of room I booked, trouble was totally on bookings end. Hotel was super fast and courteous about fixing the issue. Great room, clean and quiet. If your staying in Mattoon for the night you won't be disappointed.

If you need a place to stay in the Charleston area, this house is ideal! I stayed 2 nights and arranged for the third so that as family came into town, we had a place to gather in the afternoon before our student's graduation from EIU that evening. It was a perfect home base. The two bedrooms are airy and clean with great outlet accessibility for charging all of your devices. The kitchen with washer and dryer was a huge convenience as I was coming from overseas and wanted to be able to pack less and just do laundry. The couches and chairs in the entry and living room are comfortable and spacious. The furniture in the back yard with the fire pit and fire wood was such a perk! It was the perfect place to connect as a family for a couple of days.
