The hotel is quiet and calm, discreet behind a wall separating it from a fairly busy road. The staff were courteous and attentive. Good English was spoken by the majority of the staff and those who spoke only a little English ensured they communicated well with us. The room we stayed in was delightful - spacious and elegantly furnished. We had two windows overlooking the garden, enhancing the feeling of calm and well being. The two single beds were wide and comfortable, although slightly too soft to be ideal for us. The bathroom was newly decorated and well supplied with toiletries (toothbrush, shaving kit, etc but no hair conditioner nor body lotion). Laundry was carried out swiftly and well. The restaurant serves a good breakfast and items were swiftly replaced whenever necessary. Dinner was delicious. We very much enjoyed eating dinner in the garden both nights of our stay. The waitstaff brought blankets to ensure we didn't feel the cold once the sun went down. The location was good. The main Khan's palace was about 30 minutes walk away along the busy road. Staff on the front desk called taxis for us on the way out and marshrutkas ran past the hotel for the return journey if we failed to find a taxi. This is a great hotel and I would happily stay again. We were sad to leave.

We stayed here for one night and the best thing about this hotel is definitely the staff. They were extremely attentive and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We got a free upgrade, a plate of fresh fruits in the room, and they even allowed us to check in earlier than the usual time. On top of that, they kindly called a taxi for us to get to the train station. The breakfast was very complete and included proper machine-brewed coffee — something quite rare to find in Uzbekistan, and a big plus for us. The hotel itself is a bit old-fashioned, but with all these thoughtful details and the comfort of the room, you quickly forget about that. For a short stay, it was absolutely perfect.
