From the amazing breakfasts, coffees, lunch and dinners we had to the jacuzzi pool and the comfortable beds it was just beyond perfect. Everyone coming to Cat Ba should definitely stay here. We had a wonderful stay at Kangaroo Homestay in Cat Ba. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and friendly, which made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Mia, the front desk agent, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, and her kindness truly made a difference. The food was delicious and fresh, and every meal was a pleasure. This is a truly exceptional place to stay. Our host was extraordinarily accommodating, from helping us arrange transportation to and from town, to tours of Lan Ha bay, to providing delicious food and beverages on site. We found the room to be incredibly comfortable and especially loved the shower. Would absolutely recommend.

We had a really nice experience, room is awesome, bed is comfortable (hard), the place is far from the city centre and we liked it, there are really kind and they make perfect breakfast 🥞🍳

🌈Great cozy & chill hostel outside of the centre. There is a bus stop right in front of the hostel to take you to the centre or you can use free bicycles from hostel to get around in case you also don't drive a scooter :) Staff is really friendly and helpful! Looking forward to go back to this hostel again! 🎈

Beach front - location away from town. Free bicycle available, and scooters rental at the property. Room was very spacious, cleaned daily, with very comfortable beds. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially the manager. Definitely a place to socialise and to bond with fellow backpackers, maybe less suitable for people seeking tranquility.

the hotel is small, but comfortable. The rooms are spacious, there are balconies, hot water, tv channels, friendly staff.

This is an incredible oasis set right in front of a little valley, with grassland and small ponds and hills with caves. It’s stunning in pictures, but even more breathtaking up close. The view from the pool is surreal, and it’s a treat to dine and drink outside. You’re a few kilometres away from town, which is great for disconnecting from the usual humdrum of shops and tourists. Huy took great care of us, helped book a reasonably priced boat tour, and made us feel right at home. Breakfast and the a la carte dinner of Vietnamese fare were both delicious. If you’re in Cat Ba, this is a great place to stay for a different experience than the usual.
