One of the best stays I’ve ever had! I’m usually not a big fan of dormitories or hostels – but my time at Indigo completely changed my perspective. It was by far one of the best stays I’ve ever experienced. The hostel is run by a warm-hearted couple, Silvia and John, who were incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely communicative. You feel welcome from the very first moment. The entire team was also super friendly, relaxed, and just really cool – there’s a special vibe here that’s hard to describe. What truly made this place unforgettable were the people. On the day before I left, we all went on a day trip together – Silvia, John, the staff, other guests, and even some locals – to a remote, stunning island. We spent the whole day swimming, snorkeling, relaxing, chatting, and just enjoying life. In short: Indigo isn’t just a hostel – it’s a place that feels like home. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I was very lucky to get an upgraded room as I checked in. As soon as I reached the room I was amazed by the design, the space, the light and felt immediately at home. Everything is so well thought in the room, so comfortable, so cozy. The breakfast buffet was amazing, excellent food and quality Service is warm and very good. The place is extremely quiet, everyone is friendly and supportive on whatever you need, especially the director. The location is near the temples and sunrise view points. The breakfast is very generous and delicious (you can order from the breakfast menu). Also the restaurant is high quality for a very convenient price and you have a nice view to the river. The bungalow is very comfortable as well as the bed. They staff clean the room very well.

We loved the proximity to the temple and the staff we above reproach! The stupa style villas were impressive, and the view from the top was magnificent!

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The host and family were very friendly and helpful. Very close to Borobudur. The host helped with an early morning ride to go get tickets and also had bikes to get to and from the temple. Siska even told us how much it would cost to park the bicycles which was extremely helpful when bartering with the attendant. We still paid tourist prices but it wasn’t nearly as bad as it could’ve been. She also assisted us with organizing our visit to Prambanan and onward, as well as provided us some options for seeing the rest of the sites we wanted to on Java. The food was delicious, the bed comfy and the location perfect. We would stay again.
