Very convenient to everything in Kotohira. A bit of a walk from the train stations but next to shops and the start of steps up to the temple. Nice bicycle storage area! They didn’t seem familiar with takkyubin process but they took the time to learn it and got our big suitcase sent off to KIX. Bunk beds allowed three adults to stay in one room. A family of four would fit also.

Ted's is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Uchiko where guests can make the most of its terrace and bar.

Such a lovely place, run by lovely people and little sleepy Ponzu! Breakfast was absolutely amazing. Bed was super comfortable.

Arrived by bicycle with no issue. A very beautiful and comfortable hotel experience with all sorts of unique touches. I look forward to staying for a third time!! Will always be my #1 pick in Saijo before heading into the mountains on Jitensha.

The staff were super helpful. The food was excellent. The facilities were modern and clean. And it is right at the bottom of the Temple 21 ropeway. Couldn't get any better!

Traditional stay in a place in the heart of the town center. Comfortable tatami, room was spacious and nice. Bathroom is a shared one but was very clean. Check in location was a few stores down from the accomodation so be aware of that as I was initially confused. Note that there's no elevator so not ideal if you have a huge luggage. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and will choose this place if I visit again.

Shikishima is a hidden gem ryokan just short train ride outside of Imabari. The staff were extremely kind and I feel their level of service is above and beyond the cost to stay. I was able to enjoy a divine soak in their bath after a long day of cycling and the host carefully washed and folded my laundry for a very low fee. I enjoyed speaking Japanese with the host and helping some other English-speaking guests communicate with her too! A truly wonderful experience. My travelling partner and I loved the rice balls and local mikan orange for breakfast. Simple but delicious food, and clearly made with love using local ingredients. I wish I could have stayed for another night and enjoyed the evening meal too. The host was so friendly and made many suggestions for our trip when we shared our plans. I look forward to coming back to Shikoku and visiting the places she talked about. Thank you!

Very cute and big hostel. The facilities were great and offered very cheap laundry (which is rare)! The beds were very comfortable and the space for each person was big! Very kind and friendly staff that helped to show us around. Shower area was also one of the best I’ve been to.

It’s a truly beautiful house with charming character and carefully maintained. It is very quiet and facilities are very nice. The bathtub was much needed after a long day of biking. It is also very close to grocery stores.
