Grund was a warm and cozy respite from cold and extremely windy weather. The apartment was in a fantastic location in town - a short walk from the one small grocery store, a restaurant, and a waterfall. It was also an easy drive to all the amazing sights in the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. The kitchen and bathroom were recently updated. The kitchen has all you might need to cook - including an ample supply of spices and oils to use. All in all this was an amazing place to stay for our first two nights in Iceland.

Found 14 mi east of Snæfellsnes National Park, this hotel offers bright, modern rooms with private bathrooms. WiFi and parking are free. Snæfellsjökull Volcano is within 20 minutes’ drive.

An absolutely charming boutique villa! This cozy place had everything we needed for a perfect stay - warm, immaculate, and thoughtfully equipped. Beautiful scenery right outside the window, and the landlord was wonderfully kind. It felt like a home away from home.

This was a great little cozy basement apartment, easy to access, great communication with the host. Loved all the thoughtful touches, including coffee and tea and some cooking essentials in the cabinet for guests to use. Had everything I needed, and was a great home base to explore the Snaefellesnes area.
