Huge apartment right on the main street in Sterzing. You feel like you live there - so comfortable you barely want to go out!

The owners - now 5th generation - are wonderful, multi-lingual hosts. "Mom and Dad" cook excellent meals - actually, "Mom" is a jack - of-all-trades - and there's a 4-course meal with a choice of two appetizers and two entrees each evening, or you can opt to eat out, which would be a rather bad choice on your part. The salad and vegetable buffet is clean, fresh and most ample. A good choice of oils and vinegars is available. Breakfast buffet: mountain climbers will not leave hungry! Hit tip: Mom's cooked-to-order scrambled eggs are delicious! Our room was squeaky-clean and comfortable. The small refrigerator was effective enough to cool liquids. Our test with a (sealed) half a can of dog food for our 4-legged friend proved it was unfortunately not suitable to chill her food. We had a "Plan B". Hotel Maibad is located across the street from the Rosshopf - Monte Cavallo cable car. The visitor's card supplied by the hotel gets you a discount there. Also located across the road are a bakery and a fair-sized store that sells soft drinks and beer, as well as a large selection of wine and spirits. We would love to return to Hotel Maibad again next year. That's the best recommendation!

We were given a small apartment with a sauna !!!! Great surprise for us . Breakfast was amazing with so many choices even for a vegetarian like me . All the wonderful ladies at the Hotel both during breakfast services and the reception were extremely friendly and gave great options for sightseeing & eating out .The Active Card (Sudtirolmobil )given gratis by the Hotel was very helpful and we were able to go off to Bressanone and Bolzano for day trips using the train & buses for free during our stay. The only hitch ( no problem of the Hotel though) was the fruit flies which can be extremely annoying . I would go back to Vipiteno & Hotel Sole in a Heart beat .

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a fantastic stay in Vipiteno! The apartment was spotless, spacious and very comfortable for our family. Everything was exactly as described, and the location was perfect – just a short walk to the beautiful old town while still being peaceful and quiet. The private parking was a huge advantage, and our host was incredibly kind, friendly and always quick to respond. We especially appreciated the flexibility with our extra night, which made our road trip much easier. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Vipiteno!

This is such a great facility! The staff is super friendly, the location is fantastic and the amenities are great... plus they are very dog friendly! We stayed one night during the Christmas markets and although there were a lot of people we could not heat any noise. The hotel has a sauna and a 24hr coffee/tea area upstairs next to the panoramic terrace (Terrific views). The breakfast was superb, with eggs cooked to order and many local meats and cheeses.

Perfect location in the center of Sterzing. Modern and well-equipped apartment. The owners were friendly and accommodating. They run a restaurant called Vin Zenz a few doors down had great food and an extensive wine list. Sterzing Card is included during summer months and gives you free regional bus and train transport as well as free entry to most museums in all of Südtirol.

We were only there one night during the off-season, but it is in a great location, it’s well furnished, has very comfortable beds and beautiful gardens. E we felt like part of the community. The hosts were wonderful and suggested an excellent hiking spot and provided detailed instructions as to how to get there. We’ll definitely be back!

Great location, wonderful staff, charming city

This hotel remains the best for me in the area, second year in a row we are here. Rooms are renovated, staff is super hospitable, breakfasts are great, but as always cherry on the top is dinner, so half board is a must here. Chef is amazing and surprises you with amazing dishes every day. Great location, a lot of interesting places around.

Everything. Fantastic location in a lovely rural village, great views, ample parking, nice terrace, great breakfast and dinner. We had the buffet/barbeque 1 night which was excellent. Well appointed rooms with balconies. Attentive staff, plenty of guides for local attractions. We took scooters and spent a day riding the Alpine passes
