The ambience and cosiness of the guest house. The host was very friendly and welcoming in introducing himself and the sights of Tokyo which we really enjoyed very much. The location was also very close to the nearest subway.

Liked the location in a quiet neighborhood but one bus ride away from shibuya train station. Bus was easy to find near the Hachiko (dog) statue. Loved the washer with detergent but had to air dry clothes which was not a problem. I was scared to share the bathroom but we had just one couple next to our apartment to share which was not a problem. Towels were provided and shampoo and soaps to use. Kitchen was stocked with pots and pans snd dishes. Salt and soy sauce were provided. Fridge was big. Futon type matters so my other son sept on the floor while the sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable. Place was large one bedroom with a kitchen so plenty of space. Bedroom led to a balcony with a table and two chairs. Easy 20 min walk to the ghibli bakery. Nice walking path near this place along with a small but western cafe called yellow just down the street. Plenty of convenient stores walking distance by and multiple laundry mats.

Attractively located in the Nakano Ward district of Tokyo, GrapeHouse Koenji is located a 5-minute walk from Keimei Park, half a mile from Yamato Park and a 8-minute walk from Mabashi Park.

It was very clean. Staff did remarkable job spending a lot of time cleaning every day. Had good quality hairdryers, cute toaster oven, free roasted coffee. - not instant, hot showers and laundry machine only ¥100.
