The apartment was big, cozy and clean. Lot’s of room to cook and hangout. The owners were very kind and friendly people. Little bit off the main drag but only a dollar taxi into town per person. Highly recommended!

The hospitality was fantastic! Rosa, the owner, and her son Christopher were graciously awaiting my arrival. He speaks perfect English…and Rosa is a spectacular hostess! The location is just off the Main Street…so very quiet and comfortable. Dinner was offered there, prepared by Rosa for a very reasonable price, and the included breakfast was fantastic! I was also shuttled to the Ticabus stop by her husband at no charge in the morning! The accommodations were new and very clean. It’s not a typical Hostal…more of a guest house experience! Thanks so much Rosa…I’ll be back!

Hans and his mother were very friendly and available hosts. They took a last minute booking when we missed the last ferry to Ometepe. Hans was extremely responsive on WhatsApp and gave us a thorough introduction to the unit. It was sparkling clean and had everything you needed. He was patient with us since we needed to get cash from an ATM first in order to pay.

Play Santa Martha is the perfect place to stay when arriving in Ometepe, walking distance from the ferry. And very close to Charco Verde and the museum El ceibo. Beautiful property right on the lake. With free breakfast included! Although I don’t speak much Spanish, and they don’t speak much English, Odell and Deana made me feel at home !

I loved the staff, the peaceful and the location. Also, everything was cheep. The beds are brand new and so nice. It’s not some hard box which is typical in Central America. It was right by the beach just a few steps and also the surrounding beach’s are close but I liked Gigante the most. I always felt so relieved when I was back. It’s safe and all the people in Gigante are nice, chill, and laid back. It is a unique and precious community. But there’s just a couple locals and fisherman on the beach. I did not see many tourists. The coffee, beers, clean water were always accessible. There is a guard at night, not that you need one. Also there is hot and cold water in the shower and you can get housekeeping if you want it. Otherwise they just leave you alone which is awesome. I went for Pie De Gigante Spanish School. It changed my life. Playing pool at Juntos was fun. Anyways I can’t wait to go back.
