It had the space we needed for a family of four. The host was very easy to get a hold of and had tried to accommodate a late check out with short notice, as we were coming in on the 1:00am ferry and needed to also get some laundry done.

Quiet, charming, comfortable, and great location just 5-10 minutes away from everything in Lower Hutt. Avalon Park just around the corner is great for the kids and for walks. We also loved the conservatory in the back, and our pets loved the chance to feel outdoors but still be indoors. Being able to bring our pets was hugely helpful.

This is a great place for our family and very close to Johnsonville town centre. We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything is nearby and convenient. I would definitely choose this place again rather than staying in the city centre.

The bed was very nice had really good sleep has a hreat viea of the houses on the hills and the room was a really nice size, the little cooker was nice just a bit tricky to use if you not use to them, the bathroom was very good

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Tawa Retreat! Everything was available for a like at home experience. Comfortable beds, everything clean, kitchen had all the essentials, great WiFi, complimentary coffee tea and milk. Washer and Dryer are an amazing bonus, very appreciative. Highly recommend and we would love to come back, Thank you!

The door code worked but the key didn't work, however John was very responsive and met us ASAP to provide a new key for the door. The beds were comfy and the heat pump soon warmed up the place! It was easy to get to the restaurants in Johnsonville and not too far from CBD Wellington.

We had an amazing stay at the this property in Wellington. This is easily one of the best value-for-money accommodations in the area. One hotel room in Wellington would cost more than staying here, yet you get a whole house with so much more space and comfort. Everything is brand new, clean, and thoughtfully set up, which made our stay even better. The property feels modern and well maintained, and you can really tell care has gone into it. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for great value accommodation in Wellington. We would definitely come back again.
