Exceptional, even an espresso machine. Lots of space, yet cozy. It just felt good being there and I didn’t want to leave. So pleased that it had an 11:00 checkout time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the charming Kippilaw House. Bill and Margaret are wonderful, welcoming hosts, and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The delicious, three-course breakfast provided was the best we had in New Zealand, and Margaret graciously accommodated my dietary preferences!

This backpacking hostel/lodging house is perhaps one of the most unique and interesting places I’ve ever stayed in my life. I felt like I was inside of Alice in Wonderland. Every corner of the space was an interesting tableau. It’s like I was at the mad Hatter’s tea party, but only in the best of ways.
