Clearand easy communication with the host. Convenient location. Easy parking. Extremely clean room and lobby. Very good shower water pressure. Clean sheets, comfortable bed.

We really liked the location as well as the family home feel. The room was comfortable and clean and the owner was pleasant, friendly and helpful. She allowed us to use the living room area to have some of our meals.

We loved the warm welcome upon arrival. The location was also great. Bikes were available for us to explore the city, but also we could walk to many places.

Best hostel experience of my life. The owners were super chatty (in a good way) and spoke great English. AC was powerful, they included a little rack with hangers to hang clothes. Great water pressure and very hot water. Beds were more comfortable than several 5-star hotels I’ve stayed at. Free cold water and coffee. And last but not least, MUMU THE CAT. Sweetest cat I’ve ever met, took all but five seconds for her to warm up to two strangers and immediately ask for belly rubs. 15 minute drive from the train station, but a 30 second walk to the night market and a 15 minute walk to the beach. This place has everything.

Really nice place—the staff was lovely and accommodating. It was clean. Location was amazing. The common area downstairs was well stocked—they even had ramen and tea stocked for us, along with a water dispenser. The attic room (with two queen beds, a couch, and kid toys and stuffed animals) was the nicest in the whole place.

Although our room at Black Jue B&B was the smallest of all the hotels in which we stayed in Taiwan, it was comfortable, authentic (tatami mattresses) experience - made even better by the delightful proprietor who ensured we were at the harbor for our ferry to Green Island the next day (complete with motion sickness medicine), took great care of our rental car and large suitcases while we were away, and picked us up at the harbor upon our return with a local apple treat for our journey back to Taipei!

A splendid house with a small garden outside and on a rather quiet street. The room we got was clean and extremely spacious, it could easily fit 4 people and we were only 2. The location is about 10 minutes away from the train station but a bit far from the city center and the shore but transportation can get you there. The lovely lady host and her husband were of great help to us, answering all of our questions with some help from a translation app, though their English was decent - we were looking for assistance on using UBike and they helped as much as they could, even offered us to use their bikes; we were also looking for a laundromat so the lady took us by car to a nearby one, after offering to wash the clothes herself, which we had to refuse. The breakfast she cooks for you personally was also amazing. It all felt like we were her own sons/grandsons.

Our room was very large and had a great bathtub for two! We had a balcony overlooking the sea with lounge chairs (a little unusual to find in Taiwan!). The hotel was perfectly located for the early ferry to Lanyu Island the next morning and parking was easy.
