What is not to like? The location is idyllic. Each room looks onto Sister Bay and hills surrounding it. The light fixtures in the room are stylish and modern. The bed looked to have been purchased a few days before. The TV screen is utterly enormous, and the DVD player easy to use. The shower is state of the art, and the flooring is spectacular. The breakfast was plentiful and the offerings varied. In the morning, three deer stood in front of the office. Ten seconds later, seven more came out from the bushes. The hiking path to town allows you to avoid cars and amble through nature into downtown Sister City, which is liberally peppered with good eateries and brew pubs. The staff were all very nice and helpful in every regard. This may be listed as a two-star hotel, but one feels like a king staying there.

Featuring an indoor pool and hot tub, Open Hearth Lodge is located in Door County’s Sister Bay. The town center and access to Lake Michigan are 3 minutes’ drive away. Free WiFi access is available.

When we walking into our room, immediately smelled super clean and looked neat. Considering we were right off the main road, it was still pretty quiet in the room. The couch scratched me a few times but it opens up into a mat for the floor to use as a bed. Which is super convenient because our son is 1 so it's not preferred him sleeping up on the queen mattress so it worked out really well for us.

We enjoyed the location most, with the extras that were there. Like the fire pit and the woods walk. we also had a visit from a pair of deer.

Baileys Sunset is in the perfect location for use as a home base while touring Door County with the Harley. It Has the space to park a truck and trailer and is centrally located. Excellent value!
