The staff was very courteous and honored all my requests. The hotel is very clean,quiet and right by the airport which is a plus. The breakfast is great I give it a 10/10. The rooms are huge and the beds are comfy.

Easy to find Perfect location for where I needed to go

Our first night here reminded me of the La Fonda Hotel, our favorite hotel in Santa Fe. It starts with the location catercorner to the wonderful town square, full of restaurants and unique shops. It started with our arrival by bicycles into the spacious covered outdoor entry area full of comfortable seating with a team greeting us including the bicycle concierge. seating, to help us with our bicycles and put them in locked storage. Upon entering into the hotel you enter into a wonderful room full of art, Ozark limestone boulders and a history of Dr Compton and his saving the Buffalo River from being damned and having it designated as the first National Wild River in the USA. Don't miss the stairway with its dandelion chandelier leading to more comfortable seating, restaurants, ball rooms and a history of Dr. Compton. The entry lobby extends along the north exterior of the hotel from front to east to west and contains the The Field Notes Cafe. This is really a wonderful coffee and pastry area equal to the best specialty coffee shops. The ham, egg and cheese croissant sandwich was top notch. There are numerous choices of table seating and more casual seating throughout the lobby. There is so much more here but this is a hotel for the ages.

Great location and fun amenities. This place had it all and was what we needed! The owners were VERY responsive to an issue early on and actually went way beyond what we would have expected. One of the amenities was not working when we arrived and there was a large amount of ice blocking the entrance. I reported it immediately and they called quickly. When asked what I would like done I replied that “ they should do what they thought best” they came out in the freezing cold to work outside to fix the problem. I would have been fine with a little bit of a discount but they made the trip to fix the issue. I was impressed!

We arrived VERY weary, so the comfort of the bed was paramount. It was quiet--no kids running up and down the halls (thank you!), the bathroom was spotless, and no dust bunnies or cakey dirt along the floorboards. It was worth a few extra dollars, for sure!

The staff was very sweet. The breakfasts were great with lots of choices. Really loved that we could bring our dog with us.

The heated pool and hot tub were by far the favorite with the grandkids. The rope bridge and hammock were used for reading during the day and sleeping at night. The proximity to all of the trails was fantastic. Host and cleaning staff went above amd beyond in assisting us in retrieving and item we accidentally left behind. We could not be more thankful for their persistence and communication. Each year we choose a new location for our annual Christmas Vacation. Instead of gifts we spend time together. The entire family rated this one as the best location and space since we started doing these seven years ago.
