We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home ! We loved the view of the sand dunes, located in a safe neighborhood and 1-2 minutes walk to the restaurants in Shela and oceanfront! Located on the top floor of a house in Shela, the balcony has a view of the ocean and the apartment, including the room and bathroom were spotless. The apartment has the local arquitectual charm, and you are minutes away from restaurants and cafes of the town. Abdul Aziz was a kind and welcoming host. In the afternoon and evening we enjoyed sitting out on the terrace and taking in the relaxing atmosphere of the town. It was quite hot and humid, so it was nice to have air conditioning. The people in Shela are welcoming and would greet us as they passed us in the alleys.

Nyama is a great host and the hotel management was very good with communication about how to reach the house. They also arranged for me the transportation from the airport jetty to Shela.

The hotel is in a perfect location in the old town. Ibrahim the guy caring for the property is a perfect host. He is always available and ready to help with organizing tours, boat rides and will always try to get the best prices for his guests. . He has flexible breakfast time that suits every guest. The Swahili breakfast was amazing.

Very warm and friendly reception. Beyond expectations! We were initially doubting to book due to a false comment of bathroom privacy issue, but we took chances and had a lovely stay, bathroom/shower is separated with locking mechanism from both sides. Host is super friendly, and greets/welcomes from Jetty, and even from Airport offers pickup service, which feels like home. We broke a glass accidently and they were cool about it too. Very accommodating, always at service to take us around as historical alleys there don't show up in Maps. We will return for sure.

Gorgeous house with spacious rooms! We were a group of friends and had a great time relaxing around the pool and enjoying the wonderful hospitality of the house management. The interiors were absolutely stunning and very comfortable. The meals prepared were so fresh and delicious we often chose to stay in!

Quiet and peaceful despite fronting the ocean. Most seafront hotels here would hear noises of motor boats but Peponi is different. Two very lovely dogs hanging around which add charm to the hotel. Staff are mostly well trained. I also love the trees and appreciate that the hotel keeps big trees. Restaurant’s food is so delicious especially thh desserts.
