Places to Stay in Skoura

Truly an oasis and possibly our best stay, we were treated royally and I would welcome a return trip, even as a hideaway. Skoura is remote and it was cold when we were there. This newly built facility was lovely! Heat in the large rooms, lovely dining facility and the staff was exceptional! The owner was very communicative before and during our stay via booking.com and arranged a camel ride for us which was delightful. The food was also amazing, delicious samples of the region, it was so good we had dinner there each night. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. Private parking within the walls, well marked and easy to find. Food largely came from their garden and their oven. Truly fabulous. The views of the Atlas Mountains from the room under a full moon…

First I have to say how nice it was talking to Ayoub, who was also the one to wait for me in the cold despite my late arrival. He shared a pot of tea with me under the stars on the terrace, and I was in the mood to talk. The house is located in a quiet area surrounded by gardens and homes. It was easy to find compared to other places in Skoura, but I still had someone from the center volunteer to accompany me to it (the second time this has happened to me in Skoura. I think I'm falling in love with this town!). Every nook is super clean, the heat worked well, the breakfast was good, the room lighting more cozy than many places I've stayed...and the value simply amazing. A true gem!

A wonderful and authentic Moroccan family guesthouse. Everyone was very nice and welcoming, making the stay feel warm and genuine.

We really just picked a spot randomly to stay a bit away out of Ouarzazate and we got lucky with this special place. The host family is warm and welcoming, we quickly felt like family invited for dinner. We understand that there is a farm and much more to the property. We will have to come back and plan additional days.

Beautiful setting amongst the fruit trees

A hidden oasis in the middle of the desert. Lovely green space amidst all the sand, with a truly refreshing pool - much needed to cool down in the heat. Karim was a fantastic host, and took very good care of us. Regret we only stayed one night - we will be back for a longer trip!

Fantastic stay at Brahim and Nadia's place. They are very passionate about sharing and preserving the unique heritage of the Skoura palm grove. Nadia has a background in tourism and English studies, and Brahim is pursuing doctoral studies in political science focussed on socio-cultural changes in the Skoura palm grove. I would recommend staying more than one night, and let Brahim organize a guided walk through the beautiful surroundings, or even a cozy picnic under the palm trees. He will gladly share stories about traditional irrigation practices, challenges to ancestral cooperative structures, as well as information on the ecosystem of the palm grove. Overall a wonderful immersive experience, that is both comfortable and extremely local! I wish Nadia and Brahim all the best in their project, and hope to be able to visit them again.

Beautiful Kasbah. The Benmoro family is awesomely friendly, flexible and very welcoming.

Staff was very welcoming. Property is large, fun to explore around the grounds. Very pretty. Room was spacious and comfortable. Temperature was comfortable. Breakfast was memorable. Wonderful setting outside. Animals on property. Lots of olive trees. Great 360-degree view of the land from the rooftop. Wi-Fi worked well. Quite hospitable. Allowed us to stay on property after check-out, no issue at all.

The property was amazing, Laila waited for us to arrive late due to air travel delays and had a delicious and hot meal ready for us on arrival!!! Great location, clean accommodations and an overall great experience.

The best food of all our stays in Morocco. Seriously. An oasis in an oasis. Fresh, imaginative, bountiful and delicious. The owner was so pleasant and friendly. The room comfortable and thoughtfully decorated. I wish this hotel was in every town we stopped in.

Both the hotel and the setting were very charming. The amenities are rustic but are a very good value for the price. The dinner and the breakfast were both very good. Abdu, the host and owner was very welcoming and kind. He is fluent in French and can communicate reasonably well on English. I recommend Les Jardins des Grenadiers without hesitation.

Everything. Owner is very welcoming, friendly and smart person open for discussion in any topic . Late check in. Breakfast was amazing. Clean and confortable place to stay. I recommend to open hotel with such approach.
