Places to Stay in Sandakan

Only stayed one night but it was so nice! The room was excellent and I loved the breakfast. I also went around the corner to the laundromat and it was so convenient!

The hotel was very nice. It was easy to check in late, and to order grab to the desk. The breakfast was nice. The room was very clean and had everything you need.

The rooms are gorgeous, spacious and comfortable. The gardens are fantastic, the whole place is an experience.

The hotel is kept very clean and tidy it’s the tourists that don’t clean up after themselves that creat the mess but the staff are in it very quickly. The room we had was in the fourth floor with a rear facing view but to be honest your in your room to shower and sleep. The beds was comfy shower really good. Water tea and coffee replenished every day and it’s decent size mugs in your room. We ate one evening meal as we like to explore and it was very nice. Decent portions and not over priced. The breakfast was nice it catered for all different cultures and was plentiful. We were a bit disappointed at how people piled their plates and didn’t eat it then went back for more. The pool area is lovely very relaxing and we always found a sun lounger it got quieter mid morning. All the staff are super friendly and always willing to help. It’s about a fifteen to twenty min walk into town where you will see local culture. And it’s a pathway all the way. You’ll be greeted with lots of hello from the locals. This is my honest opinion and obviously make your own conclusions. Would I stay here again YES it’s definitely worth what you pay.

Quick check in and check out. The fastest I’ve ever experienced from any hotel. Breakfast provided. Our room had a balcony.

Its near airport, restaurants not far away from sepilok rehabilitation center by car. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Perfect hostel to stay and explore sandakan. Helpful staff. Bus everyday straight to sepilok and back from outside the door. Fun artwork inside.

The location is in the centre of the town. very clean. The owner is nice and helpful.

Such good value, really comfortable room and good AC. V powerful shower and lots of space. Man at the desk was very helpful and recommend highly for cheap comfort.

Nothing, the place was bad. I forfeited the tax I paid in cash. They did refund my 3 nights. Very strong smell of disinfectant. Room small and not pleasant. Small shower bathroom.

The location is perfect to explore the city. The beds and pillows are confortable. The man at reception is very nice and helpful. This hotel could be perfect if a little cleaner. The curtains were absolutely disgusting. That's too bad because there is a lot of positive things
