Places to Stay in Whangaparaoa

We loved how spacious and well-minted the room was. Lots of room to spread out and relax. The bed was super comfortable and the oversize tub was a true luxury! Just across from the beach and a short drive up to Shakespeare Regional Park made the location perfect for us.

Spacious room with private entrance, bathroom and walk-in kitchenette. Amiable hosts. Quiet neighborhood close to beach and restaurants.

We stayed one week and we loved it. Yvonne (the owner) is a lovely and generous person, and she put effort into ensuring that we had a good experience. The supplies were good quality and well stocked. The location has convenient bus access. Near parks and the beach. This was the nicest place that we stayed at in New Zealand. It is just a short walk to nearby parks, beaches, bakeries, and grocery stores. The whole time, you are surrounded by scenic views. Just across the street is the southern shore - a semi-private beach where you can have a picnic in shaded enclaves above blue waters. A short walk in the other direction takes you to the north shore - a bigger beach full of people, boats, and sleepy dogs, enjoying the bright sunshine. Winter or summer, this place is always wonderful. We highly recommend Sundown Palms for a relaxing stay. :)

The heaters were on when we arrived . It was lovely and warm

The unit was exceptionally clean and well organized. The kitchen was well stocked with quality utensils and ingredients for preparing meals. The host, George, was prompt in his responses for any requests made and very courteous. The proximity to the beach made our stay simply awesome.

Location and hosting excellent

What a perfect place to spend our last few days in New Zealand. The place was clean bed the most comfortable bed we slept in the entire time we were in New Zealand. Had some great food was totally relaxing just sitting across from the beach enjoying sunshine and watching all the activities going on. The people who own the place are right upstairs if you have any problems which we did not

Very well appointed and reasonably priced. It is good to arrive at a place late at night with milk, tea and good coffee available (not to mention the muffins which went down well thank you). Good initial communication from the hosts prior to arrival and quick responses to subsequent clarifications re. arrival time.

Beds were so comfortable! Also appreciated the full quality kitchen facilities just like at home. Also the host was super friendly and accommodating; offering us upgrades to make our stay for our group more comfortable. Lastly, view was spectacular especially at sunrise!

We loved everything about this property!! It is an absolute gem! Jenni met us upon arrival and was so friendly. The location is 1/2 block from the beach with restaurants nearby. A perfect end to our wonderful vacation in New Zealand.
