United StatesVery convenient to everything in Kotohira. A bit of a walk from the train stations but next to shops and the start of steps up to the temple. Nice bicycle storage area!
They didn’t seem familiar with takkyubin process but they took the time to learn it and got our big suitcase sent off to KIX.
Bunk beds allowed three adults to stay in one room. A family of four would fit also.

United StatesTraditional stay in a place in the heart of the town center. Comfortable tatami, room was spacious and nice. Bathroom is a shared one but was very clean. Check in location was a few stores down from the accomodation so be aware of that as I was initially confused. Note that there's no elevator so not ideal if you have a huge luggage. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and will choose this place if I visit again.

United StatesVery cute and big hostel. The facilities were great and offered very cheap laundry (which is rare)! The beds were very comfortable and the space for each person was big! Very kind and friendly staff that helped to show us around. Shower area was also one of the best I’ve been to.

New ZealandOur last accommodation was a 13 sq. meter hotel room. The Yellow House was like a mansion after that accommodation with a kitchen, 3 beds, living room, and washing machine. We even had the use of two push bikes. The fridge was loaded with bread, fruit, butter, jam, and yogurt. What a treat! What a gracious host!

The location is close to a hot spring and a tasty udon noodle house. Elegant design of old Japanese house, very clean and comfortable. The explanation of the host is simple and warm. We will definitely use it again.

Host was extremely helpful and allowed us to check in early. She also recommended and booked restaurants. It was a great location, local to the port and good restaurants. Although shared accommodation it was very quiet. Bathroom and showers were very clean. Would definitely recommend.

This was a terrific alternative to staying in one of the Benesse (very expensive) properties on Naoshima, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Great location, connected to bike rental which made that aspect of the trip easy, and also allowed for simple transfer of our luggage from the ferry. Great breakfast as well. This is the place to stay!

I love the location and the room, compared to japanese standards, was huge. The host was very kind and super accommodating. I also loved the proximity to the publuc bath, so there was no need to use the shared shower. Overall I really enjoyed my stay.

The code for the lock box containing the keys on the door is sent to you on the day of check in, and the process was easy. This room is cleaner, more modern, and more spacious than hotel rooms at a very affordable price. Also had a washing machine which I used well. Good location, Ritsurin Garden is easily accessible by train. Would highly recommend.

We loved our stay here. Super nice staff and the location is excellent. Sleeping in a lovely Japanese style room with big windows and door facing out onto the ocean was magical. We would have loved to have stayed longer, it was one of the best places we stayed in all of Japan!

This rental was absolutely perfect for my stay. The large, open layout made it feel very spacious and the place was spotless. All the essential amenities were there, including a full kitchen, washing machine, and even a fun swing chair that I loved relaxing in. I couldn't have asked for a more comfortable and well-equipped place to stay. Highly recommend this Airbnb!"

nice big comfy rooms reminiscent of early 2000s comfortable hotels with a very friendly price. Great location close to the ferry pier which makes travelling to Naoshima / Teshima islands easier

Brilliant location, spacious room, comfy beds, electric kettle and fridge, powerful AC. Quiet at night, no issues with mosquitoes etc. despite humid summer session. Complimentary drip coffee (not instant one!) and tea, which I both really appreciated. All in all, I had a very comfortable stay.

Great place to stay in Naoshima. The owner of the place came to take us fron the port and brought us with the car (without us even asking for it) because it was raining! Amazing. Also he booked for us a place for dinner which was super tasty and not expensive. Top. Worth to mention good service for renting bikes. The view was also very good and location in the middle of nature.

The location is very good. 10 mins walk to the JR station or the city center of Takamatsu. Fast check in, nice service and clean environment. And it has the dryer room for the clothes, very convenient.

Had a lovely stay at Roji to Akari. Room was comfortable and clean and the space had a lovely cozy feel. Loved the location being in so close to the art house project. Having the kitchen was really helpful as food options are limited on Naoshima. Cafe on the property was wonderful!
Naoshima was a highlight of a month long trip in japan- would definitely recommend.
