United KingdomThe location and the staff are fantastic. Everybody was so welcoming. Tina is great and has such a positive energy. The food cooked by the lovely ladies in the kitchen was fresh and delicious. The animals - dogs, puppies, cats, kittens (4 days old) and pigs - are adorable. All trotting around very happily. Dogs and pigs were cuddling up, I’ve never seen anything like it! I would recommend for anyone, especially animal lovers.

IsraelAmazing value for money!! The owner and the whole family are super nice and helpful! Waited for us until midnight when we arrived, helped us to book an excellent cave tour in the last minute and a bus to our next destination. The price includes a very good breakfast and there is optional dinner if you come back from the tour and to tired to eat outside. The room was super clean. Big room and bathroom.

The location was fantastic to go to Phong Nha Caves and all the restaurants. The room was large enough. The view from the window was nice. The staff was very kind, they let us shorten our stay due to a mistake in our booking and they really helped us taking us to Paradise Cave for a small price and also let us shower in the afternoon even if we already had our check-out.

The staff were very friendly and tried to help whenever they could. The location was awesome. The room was better than I would expect from a Hostel, not quite what I would expect for a hotel. But I am not sure you could get better value for the money.

The staff, the absolutely fabulous room with private pool, the very laid back restaurant area and the food. It was all great! The staff were very nice and helpful in organizing tours and providing information on the surrounding. Ben and his wife have created a great place to stay. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The homestay was lovely! A family run homestay who made us feel welcome and comfortable. The room was clean, good size and comfortable beds. Breakfast included in the price was also good (banana pancakes with chocolate was a top favourite). The owner helped us rent motorbikes, booked us on a cave trip and also picked us up and arranged a taxi to the airport. A lovely invitation also to eat with his family in the evening. A great place to stay! Good location too! Would recommend staying here.

Amazing location with excellent views to their own rice fields, just a couple of minutes away by motorbike from Phong Nha city center. They even offer you scooter renting. Fantastic opportunity to live Phong Nha from a local perspective with a very friendly family

Wonderful homestay and lovely people. It is a great location to travel to all the caves. The pool is nice to cool down after a busy day. They will help you to plan your itinerary and rent scooters. The hosts can also arrange your bus to the next destination. They even made sure we were brought to the accommodation when we arrived at 4am. Overall, it was a great place to stay!

The room was clean and spacious and the staff were friendly and helpful and even picked us up from in town at 3am when we arrived on the sleeper bus.
Breakfast was also included that was nice.
Location is about a 10 minute walk away from the main city centre which is great.
A pool is also included that is a great plus!

The property was perfect. We hadn’t initially planned to stop in Dong Hoi but due to transport had to and we had a lovely stay. The location was great- very close to the train station and the staff made our stay very comfortable. We hired a bike for the day with no problem and they were extremely helpful. We asked to have a shower after check in due to a late night train and they were extremely accommodating.

The best thing about our stay at Dawn Homestay was the wonderful host TuTu. Nothing is too much trouble for her, booking our bus from Hue, collecting us from the bus station in Phong Nha, organising a tour for us to visit the beautiful caves, giving us advise where to go on the free bikes at the homestay and organising a private taxi to bring us to Dong Hoi airport. It’s a perfect place to stay if you want to experience rural Vietnam.

The location is amazing. Off the beaten track, but perfect for visiting the caves (unmissable if you’re in Vietnam). Lovely view on side of the river. Staff very welcoming and helpful (sorting travel etc). Room is actually an apartment (on 2 floors) and huge. Quiet. Bit shabby, but comfortable and perfect for location. (Almost certainly the best place to stay locally. The rest of the town has more of a backpacker feel).

We absolutely loved our stay - they offered fantastic deals on local tours, laundry was cheap, there was free tea and coffee, and it was in a great location.
The staff were so kind and accommodating. We had to wait for several hours for a bus to a different and were offered a shower and tea.
Honestly just an awesome place to stay.

Beautiful spot, only a short bike ride from town. Fantastic staff, good food, clean, quiet, big rooms, big comfy beds. Superb place to stay with amazing views over the rice fields. This has to be one of the best places to stay in Phong Nha.

It was a very pleasant place to stay. We loved the location, there were plenty of restaurants, great cafes, and groceries there. The room was clean, we loved the bed and the bathroom. The host was also very kind, we could communicate smoothly with the help of google translate. The wifi was stable.

Everything was great! The room was incredibly nice and clean. The atmospheric view from the window. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Location is amazing, lots of restaurants and cafés. Next to riverside. This is the best place to stay in Dong Hoi.

The owner was very helpful, picked us up from the morning bus at 4am and offered to drive us to the centre multiple times. Breakfast was also great. He was also helpful when booking cave tours and bus to our next destination. We also could take a shower before leaving for our night bus. The location was quiet with amazing sounds of the jungle in the evening. It was a bit further from the city centre and restaurants, but this was no problem as the owner always offered to drive us.
