Checked in, in the afternoon and left for a function at 18h00. Back at midnight and out before 10h00. Rates are on the less affordable side for the standard South African, although I do understand this is peak season.

Amazing place to stay in Franschoek! The staff were absolutely brilliant, attentive, welcoming, helpful, always putting the customer first. Thanyou to you all.
Location was spot on, rooms were very clean, comfortable and well equipped and breakfast was so tasty!
Special mention to Carlos, the loveliest host who went the extra mile to book all our trips and restaurant reservations.
Cannot praise this place enough!

We absolutely loved the place! We stayed for two nights but wished we could have stayed longer. The owners paid great attention to detail: comfortable and refined interior, quality bedding, and a well-equipped space with everything we could possibly need.
It's a quiet setting and the perfect place to stay while touring the wine country of South Africa. We will definitely be coming back!

What a beautiful place to stay! The room was lovely and spacious and the gardens and views are absolutely stunning! The staff were professional and friendly. Breakfast was perfect. Nice swimming pools too and you can walk into town during the day. Ubers also easily available. Excellent location.

The location was perfect. Safe and very central. Easy access to shops across the road yet tranquil setting. The room was comfortable and clean and it had all u need. Safe gated parking area. Breakfast was amazing.

Laanhof is a beautiful old house, very spacious, with large kitchen and sitting are to share, and with very nice rooms. It did not feel like a hotel or so, rather like being a guest in someones private and gorgous home. Communication with the managers was perfect with fast replies and great flexibility about arrival time. Everything was super clean, the bed comfy, the location perfect. It‘s a really special and beautiful place to stay in Stellenbosch.

Fantastic location to relax and “feel at home”. It is a nice and quiet place to stay after a day of full action in the wine region of Stellenbosch and surroundings.
Special attention for the fantastic breakfast with the best omelette “ever”. Ask for it and the staff of this B&B will make it, bring it with passion.

Such a stunning place to stay. The staff were amazing and so helpful. Was in a beautiful location, not far from the R44 to get into the Winelands and N2 to get into Cape Town. Also a convenience store just up the road. Was great that it had a pool too, which my kids loved, and was kept really clean.

The overall location of the place was great, scenic and relaxing. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bathroom was also spacious. There is a complimentary bottle of wine and wine tasting incl in your package. There are also discounts available if purchasing wine from the farm. The estate also has secure parking with a security at night.
In essence, I had a pleasant stay at Lovane Guesthouse and would recommend it to people who are looking for a place to stay and go on wine tastings in Stellenbosch.

Breakfast was excellent; served outside due to the perfect weather we enjoyed. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff provided great recommendations for restaurants and other activities. The location is in a well-kept and pretty residential area within easy walking distance of the downtown district.
