What did I like about Hotel Villa Flora in Velden am Wörthersee? Quite simply, everything. This charming haven has swiftly claimed the title of my favorite hotel in the region, and I’m already eagerly planning my return for the summer, with my family just as enchanted and ready to book their stay. Nestled in a delightful area, the hotel’s surroundings invite exploration, perfectly complementing the vibrant allure of Velden am Wörthersee. The pool, a sparkling gem, offered moments of pure relaxation, its serene ambiance elevating every dip into a small escape. Breakfast was a daily joy, with an array of fresh, thoughtfully prepared dishes that awakened the senses and set the tone for the day. The rooms—oh, the rooms—were nothing short of stunning, each detail crafted to inspire awe, blending elegance with an inviting warmth that made leaving them bittersweet. The staff, with their genuine kindness and impeccable attentiveness, transformed every interaction into a moment of connection, making us feel truly cherished. And the convenience of on-property parking was a seamless touch, ensuring every arrival and departure was effortless. Hotel Villa Flora is a rare find, a place where every element weaves together to create memories that linger long after the stay ends.

A top class hotel in a wonderful location. The facilities and staff were above reproach; the room was large, comfortable and well appointed. You would go a long way to find anything better.

We booked this place on Airbnb, guided only by the reviews. I didn’t actually read them. I just looked at the pictures of the room. The price, I’d say, was the best value of anything on the entire lake. It was the only place that really seemed to be on the lake, where you could actually do things on the lake, not just look at it. A lot of places you couldn’t even go in the water—no lake access, or maybe just sunbathing. It’s clear a lot of love went into this place when it was built. The whole property is very thoughtfully developed. There’s a distinct yellow and blue color theme throughout—stickers, signage, even the color of the boats. Even the e-bike charger in the bike room was yellow and blue. Yeah, they have a charging station for e-bikes. The umbrellas are yellow. The chairs are blue. There are tons of different room layouts, spread across lots of buildings. We were fortunate—I’d say we had one of the best rooms. It was a little studio layout with a small kitchen. The kitchen was simple but functional. Our studio had doors that opened onto a terrace, fully enclosed by dense ivy—looked like ivy, anyway. From the terrace, you could see out to the lake. And beyond that, the mountains. On the other side? Slovenia. Bathroom was complete—modern and all in one room. Kitchen looked brand new. There’s an espresso machine, but note: you might want to bring some favorite things from home—aluminum foil, plastic zip bags, salt, pepper, spices, etc. They also provided a nice little bottle of champagne (sect), dish soap, and some kitchen supplies. Our room was right near the sauna area—almost part of it. There was a sauna, showers, a small pool to relax in. A tiny fitness area—enough to get the job done. A breakfast buffet was not included—eggs, bacon (crispy, good). They also had: Table tenni, Boats, A DVD collection you could borrow - DVD player in the room.

Beautiful and extremely clean! The staff was so friendly and assisted with whatever assistance was needed. Highly recommend this hotel!
