I was worried we would be too remote from the hub in Minca to really enjoy the area, especially after experiencing the road up to the hostel, but I was wrong. Everything we needed was right there. We were more than happy to hike to all the things we wanted to see but you could just as easily take a moto or 4x4. The food was great. The people were even better. We really didn’t want to leave.

The location is up the hills in Minca and is a bumpy ride to get there, but that is to be expected since you are in nature. Our room was big and spacious and we had an amazing view that was a combo of nature and the city of Santa Marta. They had amazing juices and the food was really up to standards. The tours/cleansing ceremonies that we booked through them were really nice and worth it for the money. We did the fire ceremony, ancestral healing massage and cocao tour with waterfall (lot of walking but worth it!). The staff was very friendly and the property was amazing to unwind and relax. Take note that to get to your room you do have to climb some stairs that are made of rocks but it's totally doable, just not your typical hotel, but again you are in nature and its to be expected.

Had a lovely stay, particularly loved the 3 swimming pools with great views from the top pools. Our room had air con which was very quiet and kept us cool and stopped the room getting damp. Let’s see. First up is Jazy and her precious kitty, Domino. They were both attentive to my needs. I enjoyed the peacefulness of the surrounding countryside and rain forest. The walk into town, either way, was beautiful, relaxing and enjoyable. The bed was comfortable, table and stools outside my room, outstanding kitchen for the guests, hot tub and pool area awesome
