It’s not only a wonderful place, but above all, truly kind and warm-hearted people! This was our first night in Sri Lanka after our flight was delayed by 24 hours, and we couldn’t have found a better spot! Perfect place to rest and unwind. The food was delicious and full of aroma, and we received plenty of fresh fruit, coffee, tea. We felt genuinely well taken care of. A beautiful experience! We stayed here for one night with a group of friends and had a really great experience. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and exactly the same as shown in the listing, which was very reassuring. The views were stunning and the whole place had a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The service was excellent throughout our stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was also really tasty and exceeded our expectations. Overall, it was a lovely stay and a great place for a short getaway.

There are no mosquitoes, and the weather is really comfortable. Warm but not too hot or cold. In addition to these remarkable qualities, our stay was enriched by numerous activities suitable for our children. Jagath, known for his hard work, friendliness, and generosity, guided us on a jungle hike to a hilltop temple. We explored a nearby village untouched by tourist influence, took part daily in the preparation of Sri Lankan dishes and breakfast, and even tried our hand at making roti. This immersive experience allowed us to gain profound insights into Sri Lankan culture, traditions, and cuisine, all within an eco-friendly and sustainable paradise. I loved my stay here! The view of the mountains from the infinity pool is incredible, as is watching monkeys from your balcony, but it’s so much more than that. The people who work here are truly kind and wonderful in a way that I’ll remember for a long time. After only 2 days with Cristo and Ashok, it felt like they were looking after me like they would their own family. Cristo even took me sightseeing around town to the temples and a batik shop. Additionally, my room was spacious and clean, the AC cold, the bed comfortable, and the shower hot. Breakfast was delicious, with sausages made on the property, and I opted to have dinner there both nights, which was a treat. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I will tell anyone coming to Sri Lanka - stay with Ravi at Margosa Mountain Villa. Best stay on our trip and top 5 lifetime. Stunning setting. Perfect room. Delicious food -organic rice, fruit, fish etc. right from the property, expertly cooked by Ravi’s wife Sewwandi. Pool is sublime. Birds galore (and easy to find and ID with Ravi’s help). Booked for two days. Stayed for 4. Great spot for excursions Dambulla, Sigiriya, and beyond, but we were happy just to relax and meditate on our good fortune to be there. Ravi spent 23 years as tour guide and it shows both in his care and expertise. I know this review sounds like a plug from one of his friends but I promise that 5 days ago we’d never met. But, yes, we have definitely made a new friend. Stay as long as you can.

This eco-resort absolutely exceeded all my expectations. I came during the low season and ended up having a whole team of incredibly kind and attentive staff taking care of me, it felt like a private retreat.
