Great view on the lake, facilities in the room

The perfect place to spend several days soaking up the gorgeous views, relaxing as you watch the river boats drift by. Wonderful,caring staff who made you feel so welcome. Breakfast was plentiful, and a good selection. Highly recommend the train to Pochino, absolutely magnificent views of the Douro Valley, and also the train to Pinhao. We loved the village of Foz Tua. The local restaurants offered a great menu, especially the fish. This family run hotel is to be congratulated for it's wonderful customer service.

The scenery and the views are amazing. The staff is welcoming and tries to help your stay with suggestions for local visits. The pool is convenient for an end-of-day relax.

Quinta da Gricha is really special. It is super quiet with views from every generous room over the Douro river (which you can easily walk to) and vineyards. All the staff were incredibly welcoming and there was a delicious breakfast every day. The evening meals from a local restaurant were substantial and tasty. I recommend the salad , wild boar and ham hock too. Guilherme's tour and history were excellent and the port tasting unique! The garden is perfect for morning yoga by the pool!

Quinta da Coitada was absolutely stunning. This was seriously the nicest spot I have ever stayed in my life. The pictures and listing do not do this place justice. The private updated villa located in the middle of an expansive vineyard offers incredible panoramic views of the Duoro River and a private pool. Paolo and his daughter Margarida were friendly and generous hosts and were happy to share the wine from their vineyard with us. We could not recommend this place enough and would love to return one day.
