Hotels with Pools in Khao Lak

We have found our most favourite resort/hotel/accomodation throughout our travels. We were surprised by the sheer volume of activities (most being free) hosted by the hotel such as muay thai classes, floating yoga, washing buffalos, biking to see elephants and fire dancers. Would recommend staying 5 nights at the very least given the actitivies, a 3km pool streaming alongside the entire resort and multiple restaurants to try out. There is also a private beach for guests. We did visit in town but you can certainly spend your entire time at the resort. We capped off our stay with a Thai buffet dinner watching the sunset, where the hotel team helped to place our table on the beach as requested. Shoutout to Tin who was very friendly and assisted us to have a late check-out. Could not recommend enough.

it's a great place for a vacation

Perfect setting right on the beach. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms extremely quiet. One minute walk to town and restaurants but totally secluded from town. Great place for a family stay.

The breakfast was amazing, rooms were lovely and clean, plus the grounds were very maintained and clean, the beds were a little to firm for my liking, the pools were awesome, however there could be a little more supervision in the adult pool area to ask children to leave, that would be good, maybe monitor this pool a bit more often, other than that it was exceptional, will definitely recommend and we will be back, they were very caring when my partner was unwell and constantly asking her if they could help, which was amazing, it was 5 star over all

Great staff and great location

Our stay at the Marriott Beach Resort & Spa in Khao Lak was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Everything exceeded our expectations and made for a truly unforgettable holiday. The breakfast was exceptional—incredibly varied, high-quality, and beautifully presented, with options for every taste, both Western and Asian. All of the resort’s restaurants are excellent, offering consistently delicious food and a great dining experience. The staff truly deserve special recognition. Everyone was friendly and professional, but Bob and his team at the reception desk stood out for their outstanding service. They were extremely helpful, attentive, and genuinely customer-focused, always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, providing everything you would expect from a top-tier Marriott resort. Relaxing by the Quiet Pool was wonderfully peaceful, perfect for unwinding. The beach is breathtakingly beautiful—pristine, expansive, and ideal for enjoying stunning sunsets. The surrounding area also offers some great dining options. There are several excellent local restaurants nearby, with Blue Sky being a definite must-visit. In short, this resort offers the perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and relaxation. We would highly recommend it and would love to return in the future!

This was our second stay in a deluxe bedroom and it was fabulous yet again. Staff are welcoming and ever friendly. The lower pool is our fav, with the swim up bar. Very relaxing with comfy sun beds and plenty of umbrellas. The Leaf is only just a short stroll from the action of khaolak, but is beautifully quiet. It's amazing value for money and we will hopefully return.

It was beyond our expectations! Staffs were very nice , polite and always happy... from manager down to cleaning ladies and gardeners. We will definitely go back there for sure. 🥰

Location location location . On the beach . Nice and quiet and a short walk to restraints and bars. The hotel itself was just perfect , nice friendly staff and so informative. Kids loved going from the pool to the beach and bodyboarding in the sea. Really quiet part of Thailand but not too quiet .

This is my second visit to Avani + Khao Lak two years in a row. This is now my therapeutic retreat for me and my family. My kids are so in love with the place especially the kids club. I was so happy to see that most of the staff that I met last year are still at the resort and working tirelessly to keep up with all their guests’ requests. Please keep up this great work you’re all doing and I’ happy this year I was lucky to enjoy a less rainy weather and swam at the beach most of my stay.

Everything was absolutely amazing! Everyone was so friendly, attentive and helpful. Overall an amazing atmosphere. Great access to the beach for swimming. Very safe. Nice pool with a pool bar. Always enough free beds at the beach or pool with and without shade. Hammocks and swings at the beach. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds & pillows and great shower. Everything was cleaned perfectly every day. WiFi worked well. Dance and fire show program on a few days throughout the week. Aqua gym, yoga, etc. every day. Nice food at the beach bar. Lots of choices for breakfast but mostly the same every day. Not far from Khao Lak center with access to many shops and restaurant. Either a 15 min walk or 100 baht taxi ride.

Late breakfast available. You can sleep in!

This resort was one of my favorite places I ever stayed! Situated in an extremely natural environment, the quality of the room , the services , the staff exceeded out expectations !! The beach was amazing , the pools very clean!

The staff was very nice and polite, from the arrival to the departure. The atmosphere at the resort is very peaceful, the size of the resort is perfect, not exceeding into a big mass resort. The rooms are beautiful decorated, holiday decoration with light colors and the breakfast also was good, having enough available tables in the morning at the breakfast. The pool was great and also was cleaned every morning, with the location on the beach directly. For us, it really was a perfect and relaxing stay and we would love to come back again. 😊

We very much enjoyed our water front hut and the amazing view. The hut is simple but has everything we needed (especially a water cooker). The beaches are stunning and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Hard to find a place like this nowadays.

Kalima is exceptional in every way. The rooms are beautifully furnished, the kids pool and facilities are immaculately clean and provide lots of choice, the breakfast was fantastic and the staff some of the nicest we met in the whole of Thailand. We can’t wait to come back.

Definitely I would like to comeback here in the future 🙌 Besides the wonderful scenery here,best place to see the beautiful sunset,and the lovely kittens…as well as the kind,helpful staff. There's another thing that impresses me about this place. Me and my husband had a little car accident when we just arrived. (Thanks god it was just a mild accident and nothing serious) but we were super upset and in shock. So here it is,once again I would like to give a big thank you to the manager of the resort. He is the kindest,warmest and the most empathetic person in the world. Without him we would not have been able to communicate with the local police and solve all the problems in a few hours.
