I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! This place has stolen our hearts. From the amazing breakfasts, coffees, lunch and dinners we had to the jacuzzi pool and the comfortable beds it was just beyond perfect. Everyone coming to Cat Ba should definitely stay here. They offer laundry service, scooter rental, tour bookings and so much more. Our hearts go out to little baby Bun, Tuan, Long, Manaah and of course Linh and her mother. We had a really nice experience, room is awesome, bed is comfortable (hard), the place is far from the city centre and we liked it, there are really kind and they make perfect breakfast 🥞🍳

🌈Great cozy & chill hostel outside of the centre. There is a bus stop right in front of the hostel to take you to the centre or you can use free bicycles from hostel to get around in case you also don't drive a scooter :) Staff is really friendly and helpful! Looking forward to go back to this hostel again! 🎈

We had a wonderful stay at Kangaroo Homestay in Cat Ba. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and friendly, which made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Mia, the front desk agent, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, and her kindness truly made a difference. The food was delicious and fresh, and every meal was a pleasure. Beach front - location away from town. Free bicycle available, and scooters rental at the property. Room was very spacious, cleaned daily, with very comfortable beds. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially the manager. Definitely a place to socialise and to bond with fellow backpackers, maybe less suitable for people seeking tranquility.

the hotel is small, but comfortable. The rooms are spacious, there are balconies, hot water, tv channels, friendly staff.

This is an incredible oasis set right in front of a little valley, with grassland and small ponds and hills with caves. It’s stunning in pictures, but even more breathtaking up close. The view from the pool is surreal, and it’s a treat to dine and drink outside. You’re a few kilometres away from town, which is great for disconnecting from the usual humdrum of shops and tourists. Huy took great care of us, helped book a reasonably priced boat tour, and made us feel right at home. Breakfast and the a la carte dinner of Vietnamese fare were both delicious. If you’re in Cat Ba, this is a great place to stay for a different experience than the usual.

My stay at Woodstock Jungle Camp was excellent. From the first moment, I felt welcomed by the friendly staff, always attentive to my every need. The place exudes tranquility, surrounded by mountains, ideal for resting or reconnecting. Access is very easy, even by motorbike. The cabin I stayed in exceeded my expectations: comfortable, clean, and with impeccable facilities. The restaurant's food was also a huge plus: everything I tried was delicious. Without a doubt, this is a place I would choose again. Highly recommended if you're looking for an authentic and relaxing experience in Cat Ba.

Stunning rooms in a stunning location with incredibly helpful and kind staff. We felt lucky to be in this peaceful valley in the center of Cat Ba, perfect to explore the island from. Shout out to John for helping with transport at the end of our stay (but also the entire staff were lovely!). Beds/bedding were so cozy at the end of long days hiking around.

Nice place with a cheap and amazing restaurant. It's nice that there is a place where to eat because the place is a little far away from the main city and there is not much around. Since it is in a small village, you can appreciate the peaceful atmosphere :)
