A fantastic property away from the tourist trail. The sleeping accommodations are simple but functional. The main living building is so very comfortable with very cool sitting areas, games, and exceptional views. The family also owns a restaurant with the best smoked meats I ever had in my life.

We stayed one night during the 2nd week of December. It was the early season, so there were very few guests on the complex. The owners, sister and brother Heilyn and Ken treated us like VIP. They prepared our meals based on our schedule. The local dishes and fruit juices were delicious. A quiet and very safe place. We saw a toucan and a great curassow while relaxing on the porch.

This was a bird and nature paradise with an amazing view. The pool, kitchen, room and all facilities were clean and well equipped. It was comfortable. The bed was comfortable. It was so peaceful here with a great view, we saw consistent wildlife. Close to 50 white cranes fly in at night and land in the trees around the ponds. We saw hummingbirds all day long, parrots, toucans, a possum and so many more birds! There's no noise other than nature. It's a small town, but has good restaurants near by and a great grocery store. It's close to things to see, and the Recreo Verde thermal water springs! Please don't shy away from the small town it's totally worth it to stay here. The owners were easy to deal with, and the daughter spoke English. If you stay here, you have to go to Guayabos Restaurant just around the corner. It's an amazing young man who is a Michelin chef and a small restaurant. Some of the best food we've ever eaten, and he made our evening so special that we went back the next night.

This place was amazing! We loved it! The views, hammock and jacuzzi on the deck was perfect! There was enough hot water to fill the jacuzzi which was perfect after hiking waterfalls all day! The room is spacious and cozy with fans to keep it cool. There is a TV with Netflix. There is a coffee machine with ground coffee in the room and there is even a small fire pit at the front entrance to make food! The breakfast brought to the room was lovely. The hosts are friendly and helpful! Highly recommend this gem!

The friendly and welcoming staff was superb. It does not seem to be much of an international tourist destination as almost everyone of the guests was tico. The thermal pools were the right thing to do after a day of hiking to the waterfalls around the corner from here. We slept under a blanket of sounds from the river, the rain hitting the roof and the wildlife and woke up with some coffee on the porch (we brought the powder with us). If we had stayed longer, we would have used one of the BBQ places at the river side to cook our own meals.
