Probably the best value for money you will find in the NY area. The hotel is close to NY (path station 500m from the hotel). It takes 25 min to reach mid town (33rd street) for 2.90$ (watch out because path is not the same network as the other lines). The hotel offers a free shuttle from and to Newark (will save you 200$). The hotel has a laundry room, very practical cause you don't have to pack much. And the staff (Viktoria, Aymann) is super nice and solution oriented.

Located just off Interstate 95 in the Bronx, this hotel is just 6.8 mi from the Bronx Zoo and the New York Botanical Garden. It offers guests free WiFi access.
