Native Dog Cabin is a spectacular property in the most beautiful setting. It was such a nice retreat and stop over during out trip around WA. Design of home is beautiful and location is walking distance to two beautiful beaches. We stocked up on gorceries before arriving which we were thankful we did given the lack of optiosn in Bremmer Bay. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get off the grid and enjoy a beautiful home.

Hopetoun is a quiet beach town, worth the 50 km detour from Ravensthorpe. Loved spotting the farm gate art on the drive. There is a pub, supermarket, and we watched a football game. What more can we ask for.

Great place to relax, many flat walk paths around the town, along the river, through the bush , ideal for kids on bikes, elderly and just about everyone. Flora and fauna galore! Plus whales!! Good fishing from the beach .Lots of places to go out and eat plus a well stocked general store. National parks close by teeming with wildlife and unique flora. A friendly relaxed vibe throughout the town.

We went to Bremer Bay to go on the orca whale watch tour.

We went to Bremer Bay to go on the orca whale watch tour. You really need two nights stay in Bremer Bay as the tour starts quite early. The tour, while very expensive, is worth every cent. Don't go to Bremer Bay Brewery for meals. Bremer Bay Brewery is quirky and fun with the bar made from a boat, fishing lures as beer taps, outside tables have tinny boats as roofs and the upstairs balcony railing has fish cutouts. However, all the quirkiness and appeal is lost once you order food. ITs very expensive but they claim that is due to Bremer 'Bays location. I can accept that What I could not accept was all meals served in cardboard boxes and wooden or bamboo cutlery. This was a sit down eat in restaurant not a takeaway diner. They served their beers and drinks in glass not plastic, had to cook food so utensils and cookware had to be used, so washing up would have to be done. It left a very negative feel to our meal out and experience. We will not ever go there again.

Hopetoun hotel is a community hub, welcoming and wonderful food and conversation around the pool table. The family friendly beach and playground a great for kids and young families, and the pub is also family friendly. It really is the place to stay for visiting the Fitzgerald River National Park. IGA and Bakery well stocked, and Simon's fish and chips very generous and delicious.

Going on an Whale Watch tour to see the Orcas is a must!

Going on an Whale Watch tour to see the Orcas is a must! A beer at the Bremer Bay Brewing Company is obligatory! Native Dog and Blossoms Beaches are sensational. Welstead Estuary walk is easy and offers views of peppermint and paperbark trees plus birdlife and flora.
