Everything. The mountain view and all the birds around make you feel relaxed. They left us plenty of things to make our own breakfast. It was very nice.

We had such a lovely stay at Hillcrest Mountain View Retreat. Craig and Paul were so warm and welcoming, and honestly nothing was ever too much trouble for them. You can really feel how much care they put into everything. The rooms were super comfortable and really well set up, and the shared spaces were spotless with lots of thoughtful little touches. The pool area was gorgeous too — perfect for relaxing. Breakfast was unbelievable… truly amazing, and the real coffee was such a bonus. And the views! Absolutely stunning. It’s such a peaceful, beautiful place to unwind and just take in the surroundings. We left feeling totally relaxed and refreshed. We’d go back in a heartbeat.

The property was absolutely stunning and the extra amenities like the bathtub, BBQ, and movie projector were a nice touch. The location was super beautiful, there were some amazing waterfalls nearby that my partner and I visited. The room itself has a great kitchen setup with enough stuff to make a full meal. The mini fridge was filled with fresh strawberries and peaches and the owner even made us some pasta for dinner. Would definitely stay here again!

Loation, peace, quiet, nature, the birds, fireplace and staff are amazing. We've been coming here 15 years. The kitchen needs an upgrade with utensils and pans, knives need sharpening, spa could use some maintenance, but that's all doable. We have already booked for next year. Special place with special memories. If you want to switch off, relax, reconnect and enjoy nature, this is the place to do it .

My Best TIP.... Book this place well in advance...( We scored it the best place we have ever stayed in !!) Also only 10 k's from Binna Burra...and close to Natural Bridge, Numinbah... A new place only opened 3 weeks ago called "WALDEN " ...was FANTASTIC...Great food, coffee, views etc. Have a very talented Chef !! ....only a few K's away near Rosin Lookout.

The hosts are incredibly accommodating.

The hosts are incredibly accommodating. We were due to stay in Beechmont and, unfortunately, the accommodation was affected by the wild weather over Xmas/New Years. On the day before we were due to arrive, I phoned Nathan as an alternative accommodation and he took us in and welcomed us. We all had an absolute ball with tips on swimming holes, animal feeding, kayaking and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Would 100% recommend and look forward to going back again.

I loved how quiet and scenic the area was, with plenty of places to explore nearby. Lots of great creels to swim and fish, and hiking trails nearby. Tyalgum was a lovely little town only 7mins drive away with a great spot for general supplies, Devonshire tea and gelato on weekends. Chillingham is another lovely spot 10mins drive away that has a great spot to get pizza on weekends, fruit and veg and general store. Theres a great waterfall and swimming hole nearby. The northern rivers rail trail is only 30min drive away too.

Well worth visiting, even as a day trip.

Well worth visiting, even as a day trip. Beautiful, pretty, easy walks with spectacular rainforest scenery and lots of waterfalls. Bring your bathers to have a swim in the waterfall pools and streams. Drive slowly up there cos its nicer but also to avoid running over the cute little jumping Pademelons. You can tell there has been less public investment in Parks/conservation in QLD compared to NSW and Vic so expect the facilities, including walking paths, to be more like 1980s-era elsewhere. Also QLD appears to be struggling to keep up with cleaning up after the continual stream of natural disasters, so check what tracks are open. Definitely shop for groceries and treats before you go. There is a small grocery shop / pub / fast food just opened up there but stocks are very limited & they are still finding their feet. There are no night time restaurants/food (only day time). The locally-designed map of Springbrook is useful but it is not completely accurate - eg the location of English Tea Gardens is not near/at Springbrook Retreat. Highly recommend going to the English Tea Gardens. It has lovely indoor and garden settings and has the best fresh scones i have had in a long time. And in addition to English teas they offer divine Taiwanese teas. There is also tasteful rustic pottery for sale (it is run by a lovely elderly Taiwanese couple). There are also a few other nice places to have a day- time meals and snacks, including vegetarian offerings. On the way to/from Springbrook, just before the hill climb, there is a lovely large casual garden restaurant/tea stop called Bonappetea. They do High Teas, casual meals, tasting plates (including vegetarian food) and are popular for small events.

Beechmont is a perfect location for a secluded getaway, to either simply relax, or yet it's only 14 km away from a range of wonderful walks at Binna Burra. Centrally located and a shorty drive to a lot of marriage venues if your stay is for a wedding. Few local cafes and restaurants on the Lower Beechmont side and stunning views over the Gold Coast and hinterland.

Steve and Kay are amazing hosts!

Steve and Kay are amazing hosts! And the location was absolutely stunning. The villa we stayed in was the Pinnacle and with all honesty it was just perfect and could not ask for it to be any better, and Steve’s freshly baked bread every morning made starting each day just right

Springbrook is a beautiful natural environment. It is best to bring food with you because there are limited places to eat out. If you like being close to some great walking trails and experiencing nature then Springbrook is the place to visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our five-night stay at Wyndover Mountain Retreat, which proved to be a serene and soul-soothing sanctuary. Alfie was the perfect host, providing a warm welcome alongside his owners, who were friendly and helpful without ever being intrusive. A particular highlight was the delicious homemade afternoon tea; the chocolate muffins and banana cake were a divine treat that added a wonderful personal touch to our visit. The retreat itself was spotlessly clean and impressively spacious, featuring numerous cosy nooks that were perfect for curling up with a book to relax. Outside, the delightful gardens and artistic sculptures created a peaceful atmosphere that was a joy to wander through. It served as the perfect base for exploring the varied walks of Binna Burra, offering a quiet, comfortable space to return to and unwind after a day on the trails. We left feeling completely refreshed and cannot recommend it highly enough.
