Welcomed and made to feel at home by manager and barman. Rooms were modern, clean, warm and bright. Able to open windows for ventilation. Mattresses and pillows very comfortable, slept well. Arrived late but they kept kitchen open so I could get a meal. Was offered a locker to keep valuables in while I hiked. Was allowed to park car close to premises while away hiking. Manager offered to print maps of hiking area. Easy and safe drive up mountain. Would definitely book again.

Niki was very helpful. The studio room is small but with everything we need. Great location, ski school is just across the road. The heater is a bit hot and dry at night. Cafe is downstairs with good coffee. Restaurant is upstairs but a bit pricy. We enjoy our stay at SCV.

I have ski-ed at Mt Buller for 60 years!!!! hahahaha.

I have ski-ed at Mt Buller for 60 years!!!! hahahaha. Best mountain in terms of travelling time from Melbourne, best transport facilities regarding cars, coaches, etc. No doubt our most user friendly ski resort in Australia. Great day and night eating facilities. Even 60 years ago we could ski all day and dance all night. Those were the days, my friends...I went up last week 29 July till 2 Aug. 2026. Facilities have improved tremendously. Shuttle service is great if you don't ski all day like the crazy kids but walk., lots of good roads and places to chill. My favourite hotel is Chalet Hotel. Chocolate break at Kofler's at Summit. Best ski hire is George's Ski Hire at Moloney's opposite Grocer. Best coach driver from Mansfield to Mt Buller is Andy (Andrew). No stress trip all the way from Melbourne to Mt Buller. Mt Hotham and Falls Creek have more travelling time. Go, Mt. Buller, go!

We went for school snowsports - we got lucky with snow on our first day but by the third day the snow was pretty mushy. To make sure you get the best bang for your buck, check the weather and wait until more runs and lifts are open. Otherwise by the mid third day the teenagers were done and a bit bored with the runs. The village was lovely, restaurants good. I did not ski this time but found the walking trails to be great walking around the entire resort. Beautiful views for a short stay. If it wasn't for school we would have waited for later int he season with more snow.

It has been over 20yrs since i have visited Buller in the Winter and stayed overnight. I found the B-Tag system not as user friendly as one would like. I tried topping up my daughters pass and in the end had to go to ticketing. fortunately the honoured the cheaper pricing. We ate at the Buller Chalet, great food and reasonable prices for the mountain. Staff here were lovely. Also ate at The Villager - excellent food and also good value. Staff here were great. Kofflers staff all amazing. I do believe however there really needs to be a cap on how many come to this mountain now. The bus loads of day trippers was something I have never ever seen in my life! Tim to either expand this resort or get a new mountain to open up!!
