Very clean, very comfortable, everything we needed was in the well stocked cupboards (except for cooking oil or spray) I went to visit my son who now lives on the island. We went to the bowls club for dinner 1st night and RSL the 2nd night, both had lovely meals for a reasonable price.
He has a boat so took us cruising around all the waterways, near Stradbroke and down to Chevron. It was fantastic! Without the use of his boat and car, I think It would have gotton very boring, very quickly as there Isnt much else to do on the island other than go to the 2 clubs. No pubs, no shops, only the IGA, a bottle shop, 2 OP shops and 7 real estate agents ( plenty of land for sale)

Russell Island has everything you need for a holiday, cafe's...
Russell Island has everything you need for a holiday, cafe's, takeaways IGA, post office etc. It is a long ferry trip if you are taking your car so be prepared for that factor it into your travel time. We left at 1pm got home at 7pm with roadworks and ferry ⛴ it made for a long afternoon drive, considering we're only 300 klms from Redland Bay.
