This is a gem in the beautiful hinterland of the Sunshine Coast. The owner, Keith, is a legend. He has restored this very special spot into an amazing collection of rooms, relaxation spots, breakfast / kitchen area, and hidden walks. Art and sculptures have been dotted around the property, along with wonderful plants, and quirky signs. We also met Sally, who works alongside Keith. Super welcoming and friendly, she made us feel right at home. Thank you both for a wonderful stay. Hope to visit again in the future. The property is a short drive to stunning hikes, beautiful towns, quirky shops, and much more. Highly recommend a stay at Glass House Mountains Eco Lodge.

The property grounds were well maintained and the cabin was as advertised. We enjoyed the overlook into the mountains and the patio where we enjoyed morning coffee and breakfast. All amenities were cleaned and stocked! The hosts thought of everything, from an umbrella provided under the carport, to a carport! We were able to use the laundry facilities mid trip which was extremely helpful. Breakfast provided by the cafe was delicious! We would definitely stay here again if ever traveling back to the GlassHouse mountains. Additionally, the property is located close to the Australia zoo which was a huge selling point for us.

The whole experience was one we will truly remember. Montville Country Cabins has become our favorite holiday destination to date. From the generous complimentary condiments, not to mention baked croissants every morning, to the beautiful scenery from every window especially the bed. The abundance of wildlife surrounding you all times of the day, the spa bath, fireplace, bbq and coziness of the cabin was the best spot for relaxing and rejuvenating. Michael and Karen are incredible hosts.
We will definitely be back 🙂

Adele and Josef are great hosts. Amazing location with great views from the room. Quiet location and a great place to relax. Josef is an amazing chef. The food is awesome. Great to chat with Adele and Josef about the history and location. The room was very clean and tidy. Great thought has gone into providing the little things that make the stay very comfortable.

Very quite location with wildlife on the veranda.

We love going to Montville, it's such a quaint little town.
We love going to Montville, it's such a quaint little town. There's heaps to do during the day - art galleries, various clothing and artifact shops, cafes and restaurants. At night it looks magical with fairy lights adorning various buildings and trees.
If you have a car you can head south along the ridge to Maleny, stopping on the way to watch para gliders.
Kondalilla Falls is worth a visit, as is Mary Cairncross Park.

Maleny is a sweet town and great as a base for the hinterland, and even the beach. It is well equipped with lovely boutique shops, cafes, a good pub, and 2 supermarkets for supplies. Walking is easy and there are many places to visit nearby.

Recommend 100% Best place we have ever stayed in. Wish we had booked another night or two. Host lovely, and the whole house was spotless. Cannot fault anything. Breakfast was also included and Jen catered for Gluten Free and Dairy free options which I actually needed. Thanks Jen

The main attraction in Beerwah is Australia Zoo but we actually skipped the zoo this time and opted out for a quieter and more peaceful trip. There are so many beautiful landscapes and walks to enjoy in the area and it's only a short drive to Maleny or Montville as well. If you are seeking a relaxing experience, I'd definitely recommend visiting those two little towns. We enjoyed the Thai Restaurant in Maleny and strolls through the streets of Montville followed by a hearty lunch at The Edge Restaurant. We also visited the Botanic Gardens & Bird Sanctuary in Maleny which was AMAZING!

Of particular note - the fashion shop 'Evolution' is an absolute Must See!!!
Woombye Pub had great meals and excellent service.
The town is literally only 30 minutes max from the Sunshine Coast beaches - including North Shire Beach which is a dog off-leash beach that pooches absolutely love, minutes away from the Big Pineapple.

Nambour is an old established town but it provides easy and quick access to the Sunshine Coast( around 20 mins to the Sunshine Coast airport) where accommodation could be considerably more expensive. My stay in the Nambour Heights Motel was directly opposite the Nambour Hospital and relatively close to other places in the area. It was 11 minutes from the Buderim Ginger Factory and very close to the Big Pineapple. Also close to the Bli Bli water ski park which appeared to be a huge complex.

Mapleton is a very pretty area leading on to Montville and surrounding towns. It is a pretty drive through lush hinterland scenery.
There are limited eating places at Mapleton. You cannot buy a proper breakfast at the establishments only coffee shop offers with a few extras.
