Where do I start? I loved the decoration and feel of the property. The staff were amazing!! Great front desk, dining service and room service. Let me say the food was amazing! The chateau is newly renovated and it shines. So cozy . This is a great add to any journey in the Ardennes. Highly recommend.

City is worth one day of your life.

City is worth one day of your life. Some pretty places, sometimes ugly but photogenic. Nice walking along the riverside. Unpleasant atmosphere (drug addicts, homeless immigrants) near new (beautiful) train station. Nice for a day... 'interesting' but wouldn't want to live there for a longer period.

We were just passing through and only staying one night so we didn't really see Malmedy at all. However, the apartment was very Beautiful and clean and airy and bright and the location was very good, being about 1 km outside the town up on the hill in the countryside

Driven past this turn off on the motorway many times.

Driven past this turn off on the motorway many times. Stayed 4 days for first time whilst attending Spa race track. Weather was exceptional along with the surrounding countryside. Race weekend entrance free! Just pay parking, you can even camp just outside of the circuit. Will visit again.

Cannot truthfully give one. That is not a negative review. We went to a nearby town to find a restaurant which was fine when we had a meal at 20.00hrs approximately. Although in Belgium the feel of the place was reminiscent of Germany. The clue is in the name I guess.

Theux is a nice small city/ town.

Theux is a nice small city/ town. We stayed there for two nights. During the first day, we visited Franchimont Castle and we had a walk in the center of Theux. Franchimont Castle is worth visiting. The other days, we visited other nearby tourist attractions.

The Waimes Area of villages near to the Hautes Fagnes is okay but we prefer the other side of the border; Eifel. The villages are nicer and the facilities better (shops, supermarkets, points of interests) We had a lot of snow so the Hautes Fagnes were beautiful! In Spring or autumn we would prefer the Eifel for a better landscape withmore diversity and valleys, mountains. A combination is perfect.

Verviers isn't the most obvious place in Belgium to visit,...

Verviers isn't the most obvious place in Belgium to visit, but I loved it here with its industrial heritage and fine buildings. It also makes a great base to explore other places in Eastern Belgium like Malmedy, Stavelot, Kelmis and Eupen.
