This is a lovely, old-fashioned hostellerie for a weekend escape in the beautiful forests of the Ardennes. It's located in a very pictoresque village and within 30 min drive you can reach Dinant, and lots of hiking trails, not to mention the trails starting from the village itself. The hosts are very friendly and willing to give suggestions for hikes. The restaurant serves good food.

We had a wonderful stay! Sylvie is a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. I appreciated the gluten free bread and granola for breakfast! Excellent location, too. Thumbs up!

Our hosts were wonderful.
Our hosts were wonderful. This is a special place for anyone with historical connections to the 1944 Battle of the Bulge. But it is a very nice place to visit in any case...beautiful rural setting. The house is lovely and very comfortable. It would be a great base for local bicycle touring.

Tenneville is very quiet, surrounded by forests, good for spending time in nature and having long walks. Great place when you want to get out of the city. If you have a car you can travel to nearby villages and cities and you will find all necessary things as well as entertainment

a small town, not lot to do. But nature and cute villages are at drivable distance. It's very quite and peaceful. We stayed 4 nights, visited Dinant and nature areas close by. Three nights is also enough.

Ample parking with a lovely restaurant almost in the grounds of the car park. The hotel has a lovely bar and the breakfast was ample including freshly made omelettes. The staff are super friendly and made us feel very much at home. I will definitely stay here again as its location to the Ardennes is excellent but not remote so that you struggle for food or shops.

Lovely surprise on arrival, the owner had lit the wood burner some hours before, so the downstairs area was warm and cosy despite the freezing temperatures outside. Gave us some more wood the following day, to keep the stove working for the whole time. Owner very helpful with suggestions and recommendations. Plenty of space and facilities for our group of 9, bedrooms, showers, bathrooms etc. Walked down to St Hubert (about 10 minutes) then up the other side of the valley to the animal park saw different species of deer, goats and ponies. The birds were all inside because of the cold. Lovely views of frosted trees and fields despite the fog. Part of the group went ice skating in La Roche, about 20 minutes away by car. New Year's day we walked in the Fôret Provincial at Mirwart despite the wind. Lots of well marked trails which would be good in spring and summer. Woke up the next day to snow - children all dressed and outside playing by 7:30 The roads were cleared quickly so driving was not a problem. The last evening, ordered pizza from the restaurant opposite the basilica - very tasty.

Awenne is a lovely village and an excellent departure point...
Awenne is a lovely village and an excellent departure point for bike or hiking trips. You can actually start hiking directly from there into different directions, or drive just a few kilometers to reach multiple trails. It is a pleasant, quiet environment, safe for the children to move about.

The area is very panoramic and peaceful. We particularly liked that there are numerous walking tours well explained and of different length, also suitable for children. We found the whole area very nice for children and pubs and hotels usually have playgrounds. You can also take your dog, they are very open to accept dogs.

Beautiful little town right in the center of the Belgian...
Beautiful little town right in the center of the Belgian ardennes. Would recommend to visit Parc à Gibier de Saint-Hubert to see all the native wildlife from up close.
The restaurants in the town had a very few vegetarian option.
