Location was perfect! The view from my window was unbelievable, especially the night that there was a light show at the Fortress. Staff extremely helpful. Breakfast was very good and my bed was super comfortable. The room was spacious and I felt very safe as a solo female traveler.

Really impressed! I can hardly recommend this hotel to every person that want to visit Veliko Tarnovo. Lovely view from the balcony . Also one of the best spa so far in Bulgaria. The location is just wonderful. It is very good for the kids, because there is plenty of space to play. The fish served in the restaurant is from the dam and quite tasty. The breakfast is OK. We will probably come back again for the fish and the place as well, because we didn't stay all the nights that we paid for, because of the severe weather. I am not going to write negative comments because this is not something you could manage.

An apartment very nice and clean, well located close to the city center, near a park with a lot of terraces and children playground. There are public parking places in front of the building and this helps a lot (have o be paid separately, about 7 eur/day). We have received very clear instructions for self booking and the owner answered us very quickly to any questions we had. We really reccoment this location.

Arbanasi serves only to provide an alternative base for visiting Veliko Tarnovo - owing to having several hotels with outdoor pools which Veliko Tarnovo lacks. The village is generally fairly derelict and virtually everything is in a poor state of repair - but Arbanasi does offer some fantastic views if your hotel is well situated.

A lovely, authentic place to relax and rest up while on a road trip in Bulgaria. Very clean, with a great balcony overlooking the back yard and the forest. We played with their many dogs, few cats, and fed the horse carrots we bought in the village store (2 minute walk). Breakfast was typical of the area, and sufficient. The property is on the main road, so it's easy to find, there is parking for guests. The couple is nice, accomodating, will chat with you, but don't bother you. We were very satisfied, and would stay here again.

Seems a bit neglected from my last visit 2-3 years ago. A few high speed motorbikes rode down the main street, it seems dangerous to me and no police to interveine. I dont like Greek radio in places or loud Greek music on the street, it is Bulgaria, no? Park Sveta Gora is nice, the Monument and area need need some improvement. I don't understand why the great green beautiful building is still not renovated (Окръжна Сметна палата?) , across the Tsarevets fortress entrance . Also rusty ornaments on the way to Vladiski bridge, really? I like Ksilifor area. The Old Bulgarian capital need care , because is a real gem!

It is an interesting village with houses made from rocks.

It is an interesting village with houses made from rocks. It is a quite place and it offers nice view over Veliko Tarnovo, which is very close. Also the food is very good, we ate at Bolyarsko Selo and we had a 5 stars dinner.

The city is a wonder and a curiosity at the same time... the traveler in a hurry can find everything... in short, we like the ice cream that a private person makes in the old center... there are also chic shops and restaurants, pizzerias, bars... for 1-2 days you should visit the historical sites...

I liked the rooms but one was not the best.

I liked the rooms but one was not the best. TV was working on and off and the breakfast was too far to go to another building. I believe it could be cooked nicer as well and have a bit more choice. Only one coffee machine installed and when it got busy at the weekend it was very hard to get a hot drink and there was a long queue. Machine ran out of hot chocolate, could hardly find a table to sit to eat breakfast and it was not the best experience as the food ran out. I think there was a group of tourists, but they should have considered the capacity and the restaurant staff levels. The barbecue restaurant was nice, but there was no alcoholic drinks menu so I didn’t know how much the drinks cost. It wasn’t great value for money, but the food was delicious.
