Willemstad

One of 2,427 reviews:
"The people of Willemstad were friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful place with a little treasure down every alleyway. I stayed for 8 days and found something new almost everyday. I rented a car for 3 of the 8 days and was able to explore the entire island. Definitely make a trip to see the flamingos! I was able to park on the side of the road and walk to where they were feeding. I also recommend the sip and paint by Vibe & Paint, so relaxing and the view was amazing! I was able to choose my picture(pre-drawn)paint inside the lines(bc I can’t draw a stick person)and it was the perfect size for packing in my carry on. The “snack” that comes with it, along with a complimentary drink, was more like a meal. Such a great value at $50. The car rental(for 3 days)was also great value at $147. Some of the food was a little pricey but everything was delicious. As a solo traveler, the sip and paint was the only actual excursion I did but there is so much to do without paying a dime. Exploring all the culture and history of the island is only a short walk from anywhere. Driving is just like in the US, watch out for other drivers and you’ll be fine. I downloaded Mapsme.com and was able to navigate easily."

Jardin Balata is a lovely botanical garden worth visiting as well. There are many restaurants to enjoy a variety of cuisine within a 5 minute drive. You will thoroughly enjoy a wonderful stay here!"

Bridgetown

One of 438 reviews:
"Bridgetown is a lively and bustling city with plenty to see and do, but it’s important to be aware of the costs. Eating out can get expensive—expect to pay around $40 for a basic breakfast, while lunch can easily cost twice that. It’s definitely not the most budget-friendly destination. The city itself is always busy, with plenty of vendors and taxi drivers eager for your attention. While this can feel overwhelming at times, most people are friendly and helpful. As a solo female traveler, I felt mostly safe, though occasional catcalling and stares were something to be mindful of. The real highlight? The stunning beaches surrounding Bridgetown. Crystal-clear waters, soft sands, and gorgeous views make them absolutely worth a visit. If you’re looking for an unforgettable experience, I highly recommend a catamaran snorkel tour which takes you to Carlisle Bay where you get to see different shipwrecks that are teeming with marine life. I got to see a green turtle, two Southern stingrays, and plenty of fish, both big and small. It’s a truly unique and mesmerizing experience!"

"My friend from England and I had a great time on a looooong walk from the hotel up to the Savannah to see the beautiful fully restored historic mansions and have a coconut water. We could also walk next door to the Breakfast Shed or walk into town across the main road. Also, the Ferry to Tobago is right next door and for some very complicated reasons we had to drive all the way to Piarco Airport and fly over. But it would have been super easy to walk with our bags next door to the Ferry and have taken a leisurely crossing over."

Simpson Bay

One of 345 reviews:
"I enjoyed myself in Simpson Bay. The food was a bit pricey in the area, but I guess that comes with the territory. Unless you're staying on the steep hill above the Simpson Bay Resort, you can easily take the bus for $2 to pretty much anywhere on the island and save yourself the expensive cab fares. Car rental is also cheap, but risky. Someone scraped the car I rented when I was parked somewhere, and I had to pay for it. Mullet Bay beach is breathtaking and highly recommended. Pelican Cay was cool too, and it was close to tons of restaurants."

If you are staying in Bonaire, you should stay at "The Hut". Everything and I mean everything was perfect. The beds were very comfortable, I slept like a baby. You can completely block out the sun in the morning, yet you can make a nice draft through the room by opening the windows. It was spotless clean. You have a nespresso machine in the room so you can enjoy your favorite coffee. Next to the reception, there is a diving school where you can book your dives and there is a mexican restaurant, so you can enjoy some cocktails and some nice food in the evening. The town center is 15 minutes walking distance by the sea. We traveled all over the island, and on our last day, as we were waiting for our flight, we chilled the whole day next to the pool. It is in a lovely garden with a shower and you have sunbeds. We also rented a car from the owner, Lukas, we loved it. It was a really cool, typical island car that got us through all the paved and unpaved roads of Bonaire. Trust me, look no further wenn booking in Bonaire! Let Lukas and his team take care of you!

I had a fantastic short stay at Karibea Saint Luce Hotel. Everything about the experience was enjoyable—from the warm hospitality to the excellent accommodations. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, providing the perfect space to relax. The food was also a highlight of my stay. Every meal was delicious, with a great variety of options that truly enhanced the experience. The hotel's atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was top-notch. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and relaxing stay. I look forward to visiting again in the future! .

Our stay was fantastic! The rooms were very spacious with comfortable beds and excellent bathroom facilities. We loved the large deck area and the private pool was a big hit with the kids. All the staff we interacted with were extremely helpful and friendly especially Rochelle, Lajai, Narissa & Grantley. We took the breakfast package and it was great- plenty of variety and all delicious! The restaurant overlooks the sea so there are gorgeous views. We enjoyed walking around and exploring the property. The gym was good too.

The pool and view are amazing. The orchard path (not suitable for those with bad mobility) was fun to explore and we got to eat some fresh fruit picked right from the tree. Breakfast was really excellent, served right by the pool with the wonderful view. The rooms were very nice with lots of space and the WiFi worked well. They were able to work with me and communicate even though I speak very little French.

Curaçao is a small island that is perfect for a relaxing trip of about 7 to 10 days. It's a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the beaches and atmosphere. One thing to keep in mind is transportation. Public transportation is very limited—I hardly ever saw a public bus, and there were very few taxis. As a tourist, it's highly recommended to rent a car or a scooter to explore the island comfortably. Another thing I really loved was the incredible mix of cultures and languages. The island has a unique international vibe, and the warm tropical weather with high humidity is perfect if you enjoy getting a nice tan quickly!

We didn't rent a car and there is not much public transportation in the area. If you want to get places, you need to walk or take taxis, and they are expensive. But the town is interesting. Lots of restaurants, lovely marina and fishing port, as well as a market in the town centre. Some lovely beaches nearby, but you need a car.

If you want to find a spot with shade on any of the beaches near Sainte-Anne in the month of April you need to be there by 10:00 am. Lots of families with children everywhere in April. Lots of sargassum on the shores and floating in the water. Can be extremely stinky depending on what beach you’re at.

The location and access to the beach and a variety of places to dine was great. Very friendly and helpful people who were very accommodating in spite of our lack of French. Favourite places to eat were l'Annexe and Ice'N Coffee. Also the Pizzeria and Glacier place near the Hangar had very friendly wait staff. The desserts here were the highlight. Try Kebb'ab by the casino. Quick, inexpensive and delicious. BBC recommended as a one of a kind gourmet snack.

Beautiful island as it’s on the Dutch side and location is close to everything even if you don’t drive. It’s walkable to restaurants stores and if you want to explore places taxi cost 10-15$ not too bad but if you can hire a car even better!
