The most stunning view I’ve ever seen! Everything was spotless, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. It was so thoughtful of them to come and light our fireplace, which paired perfectly with the room's heater. Such a warm and lovely experience!

Great experience, the room is nicely built so it keeps the cold out, the view is fantastic, it’s literally extremely easy to reach the hotel walking or if you get a boat to drop you off in front. The best part is the owner Oscar and his family. They help you with literally anything you need, most importantly food since going out and hiking forty minutes for a cold pizza sucks. His family makes the food and it is Gordon Ramsay level delicious. This is the nicest local ever and you should support him. Walking to the Inca ruins on the north is the closest it could really be. Amazing beaches and Incan ruins.

breakfast is delivered in the morning to your Accommodation. the location is beautiful but it is a good 15 -18 minutes hike from the beach where you land, the path is fairly steep but what a fantastic place. The archaeological sites on the north of the island are all withing walking distance of the hotel. it is necessary to walk back to the beach for any shops or restaurants. the locals are lovely people and very friendly. the island is a step back in time and well worth a visit.

Highly recommend Hotel Lago Azul to use as a base to explore the fabulous town of Copacabana, Bolivia. The hotel is right on Lake Titicaca, and centrally located close to shops, restaurants and supermarkets. The room is roomy, clean and comfortable, spacious bathroom with hot water shower. Fabulous view of Lake Titicaca from the balcony of our room. The breakfast included cooked to order eggs, bread, fruits, juices, and yogurt and provided the perfect fuel in the morning before embarking on our tour of Isla del Sol. 10/10 stars. I had a great stay. The room is comfortable with a great bed and hot shower. WiFi worked very well in my room. The staff are friendly and helpful (they also speak English). I was able to leave my luggage for a few hours after check-out. The location is nice, 3-4 mins walking from the main square and famous basilica, and 10-12 mins from the port.

The view on Lake Titicaca is spectacular. The windows from the floor to the ceiling gives a full panoramic view. The room is very clean, nice size, with a large sitting area. Bathroom is modern and hot shower worked with no problem. Breakfast is very good. 10 minutes walk to the center of Copacabana.

Excellent side trip from Peru.

Excellent side trip from Peru. Worth the bus ride, but don't stay longer than two nights. Tourist area reflects higher prices than the national norm. If you've got the energy then climb the 14 stations of the cross up Calvaria. Isla del Sol is OK but don't expect Machu Pichu! Gobehind the Cathedral to experience the local vibe and remember, wear sun tan lotion.

We really loved Isla del Sol Yumani, we really regret it not having more time to spend there. It’s a beautiful, quiet place, with very friendly people, and a lots of trails to see Inca ruins and Titicaca lake all around it.

I love Copacabana.

I love Copacabana. It’s not been spoilt by mass tourism so when you look beyond the Main Street you find some real gems for food and a good beer! The market stalls are cute and have some gorgeous little gifts. The people are so friendly and kind, if not also a little bit shy. But I have noticed this along my travels through Bolivia a lot. They do great coffee at Pit Stop cafe - one of the best I’ve had since arriving in Bolivia! Loads of fresh fruit in the market too, mangoes will set you back 20p each!!! The UK could never! And they have a flavour!!! Lots of restaurants to choose from, I recommend seeing where the locals eat. I went to the Condor & Eagle Cafe based on how good the reviews were but honestly, it wasn’t worth the money. It was fine but I don’t get what the rave reviews are all about. I had a meal the following night in a small cafe full of locals and had a delicious meal!! Definitely check out the church in the centre opposite the square. Grab an ice cream from a caserita and chill in the square under the sun, watching the world go by. I felt so safe on my own as a solo female traveller. Would highly recommend!

A nice line of restaurants on the ridge: Ideal place for a dinner at sunset. Excellent price/value ratio. Getting around requires a certain fitness level: walking uphill 300-600 ft on inca-style roads.

It’s easy to get boat tickets and other forms of transportation here. Lots of options. Make sure you go to Isla Del Sol, and I recommend staying two nights. We stayed in the south, boated to the north and walked the three hour spectacular trail back to the hotel.

We liked that you can walk to all attractions.

We liked that you can walk to all attractions. You can see films from some of them if you go to youtube and the channel for Karlmark International and the playlist for Bolivia. The ascents are at times very tiring, so it's good to walk slowly. Watch out for the old couples that sometimes try to get extra fees from you when you are on the trails. They are modern day robbers, but just don't give them anything, or see it as a tip for nothing. Both the long (over the hill) and the short (along the coast) hike to Challapampa are nice. You can easily reach the temple of the sun from a little above the harbour in Yumani.
